DISASSEMBLING THE MANU AL BREAST PUMP
1. Unscrew bottle from the pump body .
2. Pull horn from pump body .
3. Pull o valve.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO T AKE THE SILIC ONE INSERT OUT OF THE HORN FOR CLEANING UNLESS MILK OR DIRT HAS BECOME
TRAPPED INSIDE. IF SO , UNCLIP LIP FROM CUP AND PULL AP ART .
CLEANING AND STERILISING
• W ash in warm soapy water and rinse in clean water or use a dish washer ( T op shelf only). Do not clean with solvents or harsh chemicals.
• Do not allow product to come into con tact with oil based foods (e.g. oil/tomato based sauc es) as staining will occur .
• Suitable for all forms of sterilisation. F ollow the steriliser manufacturer ’ s instruc tions. If using the Steriliser Box f ollow instructions in
section “Using the Steriliser Box” .
ASSEMBLING THE MANU AL BREAST PUMP
1. Ensure all par ts of br east pump have been washed and sterilised.
2. Wash your hands thor oughly before handling the pump .
3. Push horn onto pump body .
4. Push valve into place at the bott om of the pump body.
5. Attach bottle to pump body .
It is possible for the valve to seal closed during storage and cleaning . Before each use remember to clean & squeez e the valve to open.
USING THE MANU AL BREAST PUMP
1. Wash your hands bef ore touching the breast pump or your br easts and avoid touching inside the breast pump or the st orage pot.
2. Find a comfortable chair where you can r elax.
3. Hold the pump in whichever hand is most comfortable. Press the cup rmly against your br east so that it creates a seal all the wa y round.
IF AIR CAN GET IN THERE WILL BE NO SUC TION.
4. Gently squeeze the handle and you will feel the suction. Release the handle and allow it to return to its resting position. Releasing the
handle opens the valve so that the milk can ow int o the bottle. T ry to imitate the rhythm of your baby as he sucks. Y ou won ’t need to
squeeze hard – just as much as is comf or table . When y ou rst start expressing milk, use the pump for only 3-5 minutes on each breast.
Over time you will be able to build up to 10-15 minutes on each br east.
5. Y ou can help stimulate your milk ow by gently stroking your breast .
6. Y our milk will star t to be released in dr ops and will gradually build up to a stream. F irst you will release your “fore ” milk , a thin yello wish
liquid. This will be followed by your “hind” milk which resembles skimmed milk. D on ’t worr y that it looks thin and wa tery – both fore and
hind milk are ideal for y our baby and rich in nutrients.
7. The amount of milk you express and the time it takes will vary – don’ t worry, this is normal. Usually y ou will express 30-75mls (1-3oz) at
a time, and it may take up to 30 minut es to drain full breasts. The rst few times you express , the quantity may be less than this.
8. After use, take the pump apart and wash it to remove milk deposits. Y ou do not need to sterilise your pump until you are r eady to use it again.
9. Cover and store the expr essed milk for later use.

HELPFUL ADVICE
• The best time to use your br east pump is after the rst feed of the day (unless otherwise advised by your breastfeeding advisor)
• Be comfortable and relax, e.g. w atch the T V or have y our favourite music playing .
• Remember you are only trying to express milk from just behind the nipple – strong suction is not necessary .
• If water gets inside the pump body during sterilisation, simply lift the handle slightly and pour out the water .
• There should be no pain using your br east pump. If you feel pain, try using the pump more gently . Then examine y our breasts. If there
are any r ed or hot areas contact your breastfeeding advisor as soon as possible .
• Do not continue to use the pump once your milk has st opped owing.
• W ash all breastfeeding equipment after use and befor e sterilisation.

The Sterilising box has been specically desig ned to microwav e steam sterilise all of your breastfeeding equipmen t quickly and eciently.
T o use:
1. Pour 100ml of water into st erilising box
2. Load upturned bottle, disassembled breast pump and any ac cessories.
3. Securely t box lid
4. Open valve, on lid of box
5. Place steriliser box in microwa ve
6. Follow instructions according t o microwave output
7. CAUTION: T o avoid risk of burning, alway s ensure box is cool to t ouch before lifting out.
8. Immediately t valve on lid to make box airtight and sterile.

HOW TO USE
1. Ensure pot is clean and sterilised.
2. Place pot inside of bottle.
3. Screw bottle onto pump body and continue to follow assembly of br east pump instructions.
4. When the breast pump is fully assembled and in use, the pot will hold up to 60ml / 2oz.
5. Once you have expressed 60ml st op pumping, place lid on storage pot and remo ve from bottle.
6. Store pot in either the fridge or freezer . See storage guide below .
7. If you want to continue expressing , either inser t another clean and sterilised pot or expr ess directly into the bottle of the breast pump
ST ORAGE OF BREAST MILK
a. Y ou will notice that stored milk separa tes out into layers . Shake to remix thoroughly befor e feeding.
b. When freezing milk, allow space at the t op of the bottle for expansion. It is easiest to freeze milk in individual feed quantities
of 60-125ml (2-4 oz).
c. Thaw fr ozen milk in the fridge or by standing the bottle in lukewarm water until it has r eached body temperature.
d. If you want to take expressed milk with y ou when you are out, make sure it sta ys cold or frozen un til needed.
USING BREAST MILK ST ORAGE SYSTEM AS A SIPP Y CUP
1. If milk has been chilled, remove lid and place in warm water t o heat to temperature r equired. Always check f ood temperature bef ore feeding.
2. Hold cup up to baby ’ s mouth and gently tip to allow baby to sip from cup .

Always use this product with adult supervision. Accidents hav e occurred when babies have been left alone with drinking equipment due to
the baby falling or if the product has disassembled.
Always check f ood temperature befor e feeding. Heating in a micr owave ov en may produce localised high temperatur es. T ake extra care
when microwav e heating. Alway s stir heated food to ensure ev en heat distribution and test the temperature bef ore serving.
