20 Check your machine for damage
• Before you make further use of the machine,carefully inspect
whether any damaged safety features or any other damaged
parts will prevent safe and effective operation.
• Check that moving parts are in proper working order, and
whether they might be jammed or damaged. Every
component must be correctly assembled and fulfil all
specifications for correct functioning of the machine.
• Any damaged safety features or damaged parts must be
repaired or replaced by an official service agent, unless
otherwise indicated in the instructions for use.
• Damaged power switches may only be replaced by an official
service agent.
•Never use any electric tool of which the power switch cannot
be turned on or off.
21 Caution
• For your own safety,use no accessories or attachments that
are not recommended in the instructions for use.
22 Have your machine repaired by a qualified service agent
• This appliance complies with the applicable safety
regulations.
• All repairs, without exception, should be carried out by
qualified personnel and with the use of original spare parts,
otherwise the user may be exposed to serious safety hazards.
SCOPE OF USE
This jigsaw can be used to saw many materials (wood,
aluminium, plastic, metal, etc.) exactly to size, and in
almost any shape desired.The maximum thickness of the
material to be sawn is 70 mm (for wood).
Any other use (such as stationary use) is strictly
prohibited.
When sawing hard materials, always reduce the
stroke length.
LASER BEAMER FOR ELECTRIC JIGSAW
Replacing batteries
Loosen the Phillips screw immediately below the on/off
switch.
Carefully slide the battery cover straight upwards.
Replace the batteries with new ones.You will need 2 x 1.5
V "Micro/AAA" batteries.
Never dispose of old/empty batteries with the household
refuse, but deposit them instead at a special collection
point for batteries or chemical refuse.
When inserting the batteries, ensure that the +/-
terminals are correctly placed, as shown inside the
battery compartment.
Hold the battery cover in front of the machine and slide it
back downwards.
Check that the batteries are working properly, and then
retighten the Phillips screw.
Check that the laser beamer is properly closed by
carefully trying to open the cover straight upwards.If the
cover opens up, repeat the closing procedure, until the
cover is properly closed.
Adjusting the laser beam
Transport handling and heavy use can affect the precision
of the laser beam.
The laser beam itself can be easily adjusted.
Loosen the lower Phillips screw on the front side of the
machine,by a few turns.
Hold the jigsaw, fitted with a saw blade, against a
straightedge or perfectly straight plank.
Check whether the laser beam runs dead straight along
the edge of the straightedge or plank.
If this is not the case,then adjust the laser beam by slightly
turning the laser holder.
Once the correct adjustment has been made, retighten
the Phillips screw.
Note:
When sawing a bevel, the cut will no longer be aligned
with the notch in the sole plate.
Whatever the bevel angle,the saw cut will always follow
the laser beam.
