TAPI driver
The scope of supply comprises an installation software for the TAPI driver "tiptel phone1". This
software allows you to control your telephone via TAPI applications (e. g. Outlook, WinPhone,
orgAnize, ACT, AdressPlus). The TAPI driver supports the following functions:
m Establish outgoing connection / dialling
m Establish incoming connection / answering incoming call
m Disconnect line
m Transfer of the calling party's telephone number
m Transfer of the connection status (disconnected, busy)
m Transfer of charging information
The TAPI driver was designed for the operating system Windows® 98. By installing the TAPI 2.1
driver, the operation becomes also possible under Windows® 95 and Windows® NT. An English
version, provided by Microsoft exclusively for those cases is automatically installed with the TAPI
driver. Before installing the software, please read the text file "Readme.txt".
Important information for ISDN adapter users under Windows® 95 and Windows® NT:
As for some ISDN adapters working with older drivers, problems might occur when accessing
the dial-up networking - after having installed TAPI 2.1. We recommend the following approach
after you obtained the latest driver for your ISDN hardware (especially the CAPI port driver):
1. Uninstall the old ISDN adapter driver.
2. Install the latest ISDN adapter driver.
3. Install the tiptel TAPI driver including TAPI 2.1
Should problems occur, please contact the ISDN adapter manufacturer.
