> Confirm by pressing OK. The programme list selected will be displayed.
> Now use the arrow keysto mark the programme which you wish to block.
> Block access to the programme by pressing the yellow function key. The parental
control symbol will be displayed next to the programme selected.
> To block access to a number of programmes simultaneously, proceed as described in
8.1.2 (Marking Blocks) and block the whole group by pressing the yellow func-
tion key.
> When you have completed configuring the programme list according to your preferen-
ce, press Menu to return to normal operation.
> To lift the blocking of individual programmes, proceed as described above. Mark the
specific programme, and press the yellow function key to remove the Parental
Control symbol.
8.4 Programme search (scan)
To receive new programmes, several options exist to carry out a programme search.
1. Automatic search
Select this type of search to scan the entire reception frequency band of the receiver for pro-
grammes.
2. Expanded search
Select this type of search to scan a specific frequency or channel range for programmes.
3. Manual search
Select this type of scan to scan a particular channel or frequency for programmes. Use this
type of scan to look for a specific programme by means of programme-specific PID numbers.
After the scan has been completed, a message will be displayed on screen indicating how
many programmes your digital receiver has found, how many of these are new, and how
many are broadcast in encrypted form. New programmes will be stored in the Total list,
and can then be transferred to the Favourites list as described in Point 8.1.
> To perform a programme search, first call up the Main Menu.
> Use the arrow keys up/down to mark the entry Programme Search.
> Confirm by pressing OK.
The sub-menu Programme Search will be displayed
> Now use the arrow keys up/down to select the type of scan you wish to perform.
Confirm by pressing OK.
8.4.1 Automatic Scan
If this type of scan is selected, the entire reception frequency range of the receiver will be
scanned for programmes.
The scanning procedure may take more than 15 minutes. Please also note any messages
displayed on the screen.
> You can terminate the scan by pressing the redfunction key.
8.4.2 Expanded Scan
When using the expanded scan function you have two options for performing a programme scan.
1. Frequency scan
When using the frequency scan mode, a specific frequency range selected by the user will
be scanned for programmes.
