 Turn on the iron.

 Turn the temperature dial clockwise into the required position.

 Turn variable steam/dry dial between and for minimum steam or on the position

for a larger amount of steam.

 Set the iron on its heel and wait until the temperature indicator goes out.

! Set the temperature dial within the steam range. If temperature setting is too low, water may

drip from soleplate.

! Check the garment label before ironing because some cloths may be damaged when

exposed to steam or water.

SPRAY

 Produces a mist for removing stubborn creases.

 Spray can be used at any temperature setting and during either dry or steam pressing.

Press down the spray button to spray.

! Be sure to check the garment label for care instructions. Some fabrics may be damaged when

exposed to steam or water.

CLEANING

After using the iron for a long period of time and regularly (at least once every month) you can

clean your iron by using the self-cleaning function as follows:

 Fill the water tank halfway and put the iron on its heel.

 Set the temperature dial to its highest position and let the iron heat up until the pilot light

goes out.

 Unplug the iron, turn the steam button to the self-cleaning position and shake the

iron to the left and to the right above a sink. Hot water and steam will come out of the

soleplate. This way, dust particles can be eliminated.

 When the water tank is empty, turn the steam button to .

 Pour water in the water tank, let the iron heat again and pass the soleplate on an old but

clean cotton cloth. The water remaining in the soleplate will evaporate, which will

complete the cleaning process.

 To clean the plastic parts of the iron, use a humid cloth.

WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED IRONING

 Turn temperature dial to "MIN" and unplug iron from electrical outlet.

 With soleplate facing away from you, turn iron upside down to empty water.

 Then store the hot iron on its heel rest so that any remaining moisture will evaporate.
