4. Manual settings for LAN or WLAN: this offers individual settings without
guidance by a “wizard”. For experienced users or if your network offers specific
requirements like manual Wlan security and IP settings etc.
Example: manual WLAN setting
● After above Network Type setting is finished, BRC and SMR are connected
and the main screen will be displayed. The power LED on the SMR lights
static. Right from the power LED, another blue LED appears, which confirms
the connection between BRC and SMR.
In addition, the following LED indications appear on the SMR:
● for Ad-Hoc (Direkt) Mode: a uniform flashing LAN-LED, indicating there is
NO network connection.
● for LAN connection: the blue LAN LED will light static in case of no LAN
data traffic and do irregular flickering according to the LAN data traffic.
● for WLAN connection: the blue WLAN LED will light static in case of no
WLAN data traffic and do irregular flickering according to the WLAN data
traffic.
Attention: if connection failed (SMR LED keeps flashing green), you simply press
on the “BACK” arrow top left on the BRC screen, go to “Search SMR” and repeat
the above procedure.
After the SMR has connected, you can call the SMR's “Settings“ menu by pushing
on the tools symbol in mainscreen, to do further settings. Please refer the section
“SMR Settings“ in this manual.
