GRILL PLATE OR STONE, ENSURING THAT IT IS PROPERLY INSTALLED.

STARTING PROCEDURE AND SET UP
• Remove all packaging and ensure parts 1-6 (see diagram 1) are included.
Note: each appliance is equipped with either a nonstick grill plate, hot stone or cast
iron grill plate.
• Wash grill plate / hot stone, raclette dishes and spatulas in hot water and wipe dry.
• To set up unit, line up grill plate / hot stone with side supports and position into
place.
• Place raclette dishes onto tray surface.
• Plug electrical cord into power outlet.
• Before using marinated foods, lightly oil or grease grill plate.
• Never use nonstick cooking spray as it will burn onto the grill
• Heat nonstick grill plate for 8-10 minutes at the highest level. Once heated, turn
temperature control knob to required level.
• Heat cast iron grill plate for 15 minutes at the highest level. Once heated, turn
temperature control knob to required level.
• Pre-heat the hot stone for 20 minutes at the highest level prior to cooking (hot
stone may be pre-heated in oven – use oven glove and caution when transferring to
raclette)
CLEANING
• Unplug appliance before cleaning.
• Allow appliance to cool off, wipe with damp cloth – Do not immerse in water.
• Wash grill plates or hot stone, raclette dishes and spatulas in warm water with mild
detergent. Ensure the cast iron grill plate is completely dried immediately after
cleaning.
• Do not use steel wool, wire brushes or abrasive cleaners. If necessary, leave to soak.
• We recommend a Swissmar stainless steel scraper for the hot stone and/or a
scouring pad.
