IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS /
USING THE APPLIANCE
• Do not use the appliance when damage is evident, when it has fallen over or is not working perfectly.
• Regularly check the appliance, the cable and the plug for visible damage. Under no circumstances use the appliance
when you have found damage. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.
• Only qualified personnel are allowed to carry out repairs.
• Only use the appliance on heat resistant surfaces. Do not stand the appliance near to sources of heat or naked
flames.
• Use the appliance exclusively for boiling water. Do not use it to heat up other liquids (e.g. milk) or to warm up/cook
foods inside the kettle.
• The appliance is only for household use and is not suitable for commercial use.
USING THE APPLIANCE
Important advice:
According to the following written instructions for usage, we recommend that before the appliance is used, having water
boiled up in it and then thrown away twice should clean it. In this way any possible dust or residue left over from the
production process is removed.
• Stand the appliance on a firm, level and heat resistant surface. Take care that the appliance cannot slip or tip over.
• Open the lid of the appliance by lifting up the lid handle
• Fill the kettle with clear, cold water. The water level must move between the minimum and maximum markings. If
there is too little water the appliance can become over heated. If there is too much water the boiling water can spurt
out. Close the lid afterwards.
• For each boiling process fill the kettle with fresh water. Pour away any cold water left standing in the kettle. Close
the lid afterwards.
• Take care that the spout of the appliance is not pointed at any people or objects since hot steam can escape
through the spout during boiling.
• Attach the plug to the mains supply. The red control light shows that the appliance is working.
• Take care that the lid is always firmly closed during the boiling process. Danger of being burned.
• CAUTION! To interrupt or stop the boiling process you must pull the plug from the socket. The appliance does not
switch off automatically. For this reason please do not leave the appliance unattended during the boiling process.
• Wait a moment after the water has heated up until the water is no longer bubbling. Do not open the lid during the
boiling and pouring out.
• The kettle is fitted with protection against the kettle being dry which interrupts the boiling process if the appliance
has accidentally been switched on without water. In this case the appliance must cool off for at least 15 minutes
before water can be put back in and the appliance used again
