NOTES ON CLEANING,
USAGE AND CARE
• Maintaining the Cassette Mechanism
Clean the volume head and the pinch roller/capstan every 10 operating hours until all oxidation traces have been
removed. There are a large number of special maintenance product available for this purpose, such as cleaning
cassettes.

The erase head and the record/playback head, as well as the surface of the pinch rollers, are sensitive and may not be
touched with metal objects such as screw drivers. Do not ever attempt to oil any of these parts.

2. Note on the handling of CDs:
Take the CD out of a case and place it back into one.
• In doing so, do not touch the reflective recording surface.
• Do not glue on any labels and do not write on the surface.
• Do not bend the CD.
Warning:
Always remove the electrical cable from the outlet before cleaning!!
• The appliance, the electrical cable and the plug may not be immersed in water during cleaning. Clean these using a
dry cloth.
• Do not use any harsh cleaning products, wire brushes, scouring powder or any other hard objects which could
scratch the surface.
