DECALCIFYING/ TECHNICAL
INFORMATION/ DISPOSAL INSTRUCTION
The appliance must be decalcified at regular intervals. The length of the intervals is dependent upon the degree of
hardness of the water used and the frequency with which the appliance is used. In order to guarantee the operability of
the appliance, the appliance must be decalcified, especially when it shows signs of calcification (visible calcification,
increased noises, longer process times). Use a mixture of vinegar (no essence) with water, at a mixing ratio of 1:3 for
decalcification.
• Fill the water container of the appliance up to the maximum fill level with the vinegar solution and turn on the
appliance.
• Let approximately 1 cup of the vinegar solution run into the carafe and then turn off the appliance.
• Leave the rest of the vinegar solution work in the appliance for approximately 1 hour.
• Then turn the appliance back on and let the rest of the vinegar solution run through and then pour this out.
• In order to rinse the appliance out afterwards, you should let clear water at the maximum fill level run through the
device 2 to 3 times.
