Basic safety instructions must be observed when using electric appliances. In order to avoid the danger of burns,
electrical shocks, fire and/or personal injury, please read this instruction manually thoroughly prior to using the appliance
and follow all instructions while using this appliance.
Carefully store this instruction manual for later use.
In the case that this appliance is given to another person, please include this instruction manual as well.

• Only plug this appliance into a standardly installed outlet. Do not use a power strip or extension cable.
• The voltage given on the label of the appliance must match the voltage of your electrical grid.
• When positioning the electrical cable, make sure that it doesn’t present a trip hazard during use of the appliance.
• Keep the electrical cable away from hot surfaces, open flames and sharp edges.
• Never touch the appliance, electrical cable or the plugs with damp or wet hands.
• Never immerse the appliance, electrical cable or plug in water or other liquids. There is a serious risk of
electrocution!
• When you pull on the plug, always pull on the plug and never on the cable.
• Do not use the appliance outside.
• Only use the appliance with the accompanying accessories.
• Observe the fill markings (lowest/highest) on the appliance. The appliance can overheat if there is too little water.
The liquid can overflow is there too much water.
• Make sure that the appliance is not unintentionally turned on or turned on without water. Unplug the appliance
when not in use.
• Do not fill the water container with hot water and do not fill the water container if the appliance is still heated up (let
it cool down for at least 15 minutes).
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
• Parts of the appliance and the carafe become very hot during use. Only touch those operating controls intended to
be touched and the handles. There is a serious risk of burns!
• In order to ensure that the drip system is functioning correctly, make sure that the filter is inserted properly and that
the carafe is placed properly underneath the filter outlet.
• Make sure that the lid of the water container and the filter holder are correctly closed during the boiling process.
• Always remove the plug from the outlet and let the appliance completely cool down before cleaning.
• Children do not recognize the danger that can result from using electrical appliances. Keep children away from
appliances. Please be especially careful when using appliances if children are present!
• Keep packaging material like plastic bags and styrofoam pieces out of the reach of children. There is a serious risk
of suffocation!
• Do not use the appliance if it shows signs of damage, if it has fallen or if it is not functioning properly.
