• Insert the grill plate (4) into the bamboo frame (1). It can only be mounted in one direction.
• Insert the thermostat (7) into the socket on the grill.
• Make sure it is fully inserted.
Grill
• Brush the grill plate with a little butter, margarine or oil.
• Place the appliance on a flat, heat-resistant surface and plug in the connector.
• Turn the thermostat knob to the desired setting. The indicator light comes on and the appliance starts to
heat. When the appliance has reached the correct temperature, the thermostat light goes out. The

• goes out when the heating element switches on and off.
• Place the food on the griddle and fry it. Liquid fat and meat juices run off through the drain opening (6) into
the drip tray (3).
• Carefully loosen and turn the food using a heat-resistant spatula or similar. Do not use any metal or sharp-
edged utensils on the griddle, as it has a

• You can interrupt the cooking process at any time by pulling the plug out of the socket.
• Caution. The metal parts get very hot during use. Always hold on to the bamboo frame. Make sure that no
oil, fat or other liquids splash out.
• Turn down the thermostat and unplug the appliance when the food is ready.
• Make sure the appliance has cooled down completely before cleaning and storing it.
Maintenance and care
• Please pull the plug before cleaning and wait until the device has cooled completely.
• Make sure the appliance is unplugged before you start the cleaning.
• Clean the base with a damp cloth, if necessary moistened with a couple of drops of washing-up liquid.
• The grill plate can be cleaned in hot water with washing-up liquid; use a soft cloth or a plastic washing-up
brush.
• Dry the base, stone, grill plate and the trays thoroughly.
• Clean the appliance after each use.
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean
the appliance.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
