Char ging
When using the unit for the first time, be sure t o charge it for at least
1hour .
1 C onnect the supplied micro USB c able and the
supplied USB A C adaptor t o the DC IN 5 V jack,
and then plug the AC power c ord (mains lead)
into a wall outle t.
When you start to charge the unit f or the first time after
purchase, the unit automa tically turns on and the (on/
standby) indicat or (white) slowly flashes.
When charging is c omplete, the (on/standby) indicator (white)
lights.
Hint
• If you start to charge the unit while it is off , the (on/standby) indic ator
(orange) lights. When charging is comple te, the indicator turns off.
• When the rechar geable battery is running low, the (on/standby) indicator
(red) flashes and an alert sounds to let you know tha t the rechargeable battery
is running low . After a short while, the unit automatically turns off .

1 P ress the (on/standby) butt on.
The (on/standby) indicat or (white) slowly flashes.

P airing and connecting with a
BLUET OO TH device
Y ou can operate a BLUET OO TH device to pair it with the unit.
1 P ress and hold the BLUET OOTH/ P AIRING
button for about 2se conds.
The unit will make a sound to indic ate that pairing mode has
been enter ed.
2 Search f or the unit from the BLUET OO TH device
and select [LSPX -S2].
3 Listen f or the sound that indicates pairing w as
succ essful.
The BLUET OOTH indic ator (white) also lights.
Hint
If the indicator st ops flashing in the middle of the operation, start again
from step 1.

Connecting with a BL UET OOTH devic e
by using One-touch (NFC)
Even when the unit is turned off , you can pair and connect by simply
touching your smartphone to the unit.
1 Unlock the scr een of your BLUET OO TH device
and touch it to the N mark ed area on the bo ttom
of the unit.
2 Follow the on-scr een instructions to c onnect the
device , and then listen for the sound that
indicat es pairing was succ essful.
The BLUET OOTH indic ator (white) also lights.
Disconnecting by using One-t ouch
T ouch the N marked area with the device again.
If you cannot est ablish a connection
• Move the BLUET OOTH devic e slowly over the N marked area.
• If the BLUET OOTH devic e is in a case, remove it from the case.
Listening t o Music
1 S tar t playing music on the BLUET OO TH device
and adjust the volume.
First, do the procedur e in “C onnecting with BLUET OOTH Devices”
to connect t o a BLUETOO TH device.
2 Adjust the volume by pres sing the /
(volume) buttons.
Pres s and hold the buttons for rapid adjustments.
Hint
If sound is interrupted, or if static is appar ent, the unit may be experiencing
interferenc e.
Either move the unit to a differ ent location or bring the BLUETOO TH device closer
to the unit.

1 Plac e the unit near the Wi-Fi router , and then
turn on the unit.
2 Pr ess and hold the unit's TIMER/ WPS button
for about 2sec onds until you hear beeping.
3 Pr ess the Wi-Fi rout er's Wi-Fi Prot ected Setup™
(WPS) button within 90 sec onds.
4 Confirm tha t the network indicator (whit e) lights.
The Wi-Fi connection is c omplete.

Using your smartphone to connect t o
a Wi-Fi network
1 Install Son y|MusicCenter on your smartphone.
Search for “SonyMusicCent er” using either
Google Play™ (Play Stor e) or the App Store.
2 Conne ct your smartphone to the wireles s LAN
rout er .
3 Conne ct your smar tphone with the unit via
BLUET OO TH wireless t echnology .
Do the proc edure in “Connecting with BLUET OOTH Devic es” t o
connect to a BL UETOO TH device.
4 F ollow the on-scre en instructions on
Sony|Music C enter to c onnect to Wi-Fi.
Some wireless LAN r outers have multiple SSIDs.
Set your smartphone and the unit to the same SSID .
5 C onfirm that the network indicator (whit e) lights.
The Wi-Fi connection is c omplete.
Enjoying an Online Music
Distribution Service (Spotify)
Y ou can play music through the unit from an online music distribution
service (Spotify). Y ou must install the Spotify app on your smartphone
and complet e the membership registration to use your smartphone t o
enjoy Spotify (Spotify C onnect function).
1 C onnect the unit to a Wi-Fi network.
2 Start Spotify , which is installed on the
smartphone, tablet, or computer c onnected to
the same Wi-Fi as the unit.

3 Start playing music, and then select [Devices
Av ailable].
4 Select [LSPX -S2] and list en to the music from the
unit.
When the Spotify Conne ct function is enabled, the c onnection
icon ( ) lights green.
When the connection is c omplete, the network indicator on the
bottom of the unit lights gr een.
Hint
• If sound is interrupted, or if static is appar ent, the unit may be experiencing
interferenc e or the signal may be weak.
• Check that the unit is not surr ounded by metal.
• Also, keep the unit away fr om microwave ovens, other Wi-Fi devices, or any
similar devices.

• The details of services offer ed by Spotify may differ , depending on your
country or region.
• Specifications for the app and scr een designs are subject to change without

Using Push&Play t o Enjoy Music
fr om an Online Music Distribution
Service (Spotify)
After using the Spotify C onnect function or registering your favorite
music, you can enjoy music by simply pressing the (Push&Play)
button, even if the unit is not on.
1 Aft er reaching step 3 of “Enjoying an Online
Music Distribution Service (Spotify)” , pr ess the
(Push&Play) button.
The (Push&Play) indicator (white) lights.
2 Adjust the volume by pres sing the /
(volume) buttons.
Pres s and hold the buttons for rapid adjustments.
Y ou can also use Spotify to adjust the volume.
3 Navigate Son y | Music Center and select the
music to play back when you use Push&Play .
Y ou can select from the following.
• Last played music (default setting)
• Recommend by the Glas s sound speaker
• F avorite music
Registering to Y our Favorit e Music
While playing back music, press the (Push&Play) button for about
2 seconds.
Y ou will hear a notification sound when the registr ation is complete.
The (Push&Play) indicator (white) stays lit aft er flashing several
times.
V arious F unctions
Adjusting the Brightness of the
Illumination LED
Pr ess the (illumination LED) +/– buttons.
Pres s and hold a button for rapid adjustments.
Enjoying the Candle Light Mode
Pr ess and hold the (on/standby) button for about
2seconds while the speak er is on.
Y ou can set the illumination LED so that it shines and glimmers like a
candle’ s light.
T urning Off the Candle Light Mode
Once again, press and hold the (on/st andby) button for about
2seconds.
Choosing the Intensity of the
Candle Light Mode
While the candle light mode is on, press the
(illumination LED) +/– buttons t o select the
intensity you lik e the most from the 2 types.
Note
Y ou cannot set the brightnes s of the illumination LED while the unit is in the
candle light mode, even if you use Sony | Music Center or pr ess the unit's
(illumination LED) +/– buttons. T urn off the candle light mode first, and then
set the brightness of the illumination LED .
Using the Sleep Timer
Pr ess the TIMER/ WPS button.
A sound will indicate tha t the Sleep Timer has been set, and the power
will automatically turn off aft er 60 minutes.
Canceling the Sleep Timer
Pres s the TIMER/ WPS button again. A sound will indicate that the
Sleep Timer has been canc eled.
Hint
Y ou can also use Sony | Music C enter to set the duration of the timer .
Listening t o Music from an Ext ernal
Device
1 C onnect a portable audio device, or similar
device , to the AUDIO IN jack.
Use a commer cially available connection cor d (stereo mini
stere o mini, no r esistance).
2 Start playback on the conne cted device.
Hint
T o output music from a BLUET OOTH devic e with the connection cord still in the
AUDIO IN jack, either press the BLUET OOTH/
P AIRING button on the bottom of
the unit or use Sony | Music Center t o switch the BLUETOO TH device to the one
you want to use for playback.
If the volume is low , adjust the volume for bo th the unit and the connected audio
device.
Using Sony | Music C enter to Do

Y ou may also be able to solve problems by charging the unit.
Charging the Unit
If the power does not turn on or you have not used the unit f or a long
time, securely c onnect the supplied micro USB cable and the supplied
USB AC adapt or to the DC IN 5 V jack, plug the USB A C adaptor into a
wall outlet, and then charge the unit at least 1 hour bef ore turning on
the power .
Exc ept in some cases, you cannot charge the unit by c onnecting the
unit to the USB terminal of a c omputer.
Auto S tandby Function
When about 15 minutes have passed under the f ollowing conditions,
the unit automatically turns off . This is no t a malfunction. The Aut o
Standby function is set t o on at the time of purchase. Y ou can switch
the Auto Standby function on and off fr om the settings menu in
Sony|Music Cent er.
• The unit is not in use.
• Music (audio) is not being played back by a device connect ed via
BLUET OOTH wir eless technology .
• The music (audio) of an audio device connected t o the AUDIO IN jack
is not playing back, or the music (audio) output of an audio device is
remarkably weak.
Checking the Wi-Fi C onnection’ s Settings
If the (Push&Play) indicator flashes in r ed and an error alert sounds
when you press the (Push&Play) button, consider the f ollowing
situations.
• Y ou have never used the Spotify Connect function bef ore.
• The unit is not connected to Wi-Fi.
Follow the pr ocedure under “Connecting t o a Wi-Fi Network” and do
the settings again.
Playing Music Using a BLUET OO TH Connection Aft er
Y ou Have Played Music Using a Wi-Fi Conne ction
Make sur e that the BLUETOO TH indicat or on the bottom of this unit is
not turned off .
If the BLUET OOTH indic ator is turned off, pres s the BLUETOO TH/
P AIRING button on the bottom of the unit and c onfirm that the
BLUET OOTH indic ator lights.
Resetting the Unit
When the unit is not working properly , r esetting it may resolve some
issues. T o rese t the unit, use a pointe d object, such as a pin, to pr ess
the RESET button.
While the USB AC adapt or is not connected, pres s the RESET button,
and then press the (on/st andby) button for at least 3 seconds t o
turn on the unit.
Restarting the Unit
If the unit’s (on/st andby) indicator is flashing red, the unit is in
prot ect mode. Wait a while, and then pres s the (on/standby) button
again to turn on the power .
If the problem persists, even after turning on the power again, contact
your nearest Sony dealer .
Initializing the Unit
If you have checked all of the r elevant items in “T roubleshooting” and
the unit still does not oper ate normally , or if se tup failed, initialize the
unit to re turn it to its defaults.
While the unit is on, press and hold the unit’ s (on/standby) button
and (volume) button at the same time for a t least 4 seconds to
initialize the unit.
Initialization requir es tens of seconds. When initialization is comple te,
the unit’s (on/st andby) indicator and the illumination LED light, and
the power stays on.
Since all of the BLUET OO TH pairing information and network settings
are delet ed when you initialize the unit, you must do all of the settings
again.
