Using the BLUET OO TH function
Y ou can listen t o music from your “W ALKMAN” or
BLUET OOTH devic e over a wireless c onnection.
Befor e using the BLUET OO TH function, per form
pairing to regist er your BLUET OOTH devic e.
The system supports registr ation and connection
of the BLUET OOTH devic e and NFC, which enables
data c ommunication by just touching a specifie d
location. For det ails on NFC, see “Connecting by
one-touch action (NFC). ”
What is pairing?
The BLUET OOTH devic es to be connect ed must
be register ed with each other beforehand. P airing
is an opera tion of registering two devic es. Once a
pairing opera tion is performed, it does not have
to be performed again. In the following cases,
however , a pairing oper ation must be performed
again:

airing information w as erased when the
BLUET OOTH devic e was repair ed.
ˎY
ou attempt t o pair the system with more than
10 BLUET OOTH devic es. This system can pair
with up to 9 BLUET OOTH devic es. If you pair
another BLUET OOTH devic e after pairing with 9
devices was perf ormed, pairing information of
the device that w as connecte d with the system
first is overwritten with that of the new device.
ˎP airing registr ation information of this system is
erase d from the c onnected device .
ˎIf you initialize the system or er ase the
pairing history with the system, all the pairing
information will be er ased.

Just touch your smartphone to the system. The
system is turned on automa tically , and pairing
and BLUET OOTH c onnection are established.
1 Start the “NFC Easy Connect” application on
your smartphone.
Check that the applica tion display appears.
2 T ouch your smar tphone to the unit.
T ouch the smar tphone to the N-Mark on the
unit and maintain contact until the smartphone
vibra tes.
Complet e the connection with your
smartphone, following the instructions on the
screen.
Refer to the user’ s guide of your smar tphone
for the part of your smartphone used touch
contact.

o disconnect the establishe d connection, touch
your smartphone to the N-Mark on the unit.
ˎWhen you t
ouch an NFC-c ompliant smar tphone

Setting the BLUET OOTH S tandby
mode
When BLUET OOTH Standby mode is enable d,
the system enters W ait mode for BLUET OOTH
connection even when the syst em is turned off.
If the system re ceives a playback command fr om
the connect ed BLUET OO TH device, it turns on and
music is played back. The BLUETOO TH Standby
mode is disabled by default.
