Modem mode: Select this to use the phone as a modem.
Data storage: Select this to transfer and synchronize data between the Sonim XP STRIKE
phone and your computer.
Note: The phone starts charging when it is connected to the computer using a USB cable.
Note: When you are using the phone for data storage ensure that a microSD card is inserted in
the phone before connecting it to the computer. Otherwise, the phone will display a No memory
card found message.
microSD Card
You can insert a removable microSD card into your Sonim XP STRIKE to increase the storage
capacity. This card is inserted into the slot inside the phone’s battery compartment.
Note: The maximum capacity of the microSD card cannot exceed 8 GB.
Insert a microSD Card into the Phone
Follow the instructions below to insert a microSD card into your phone.
1. Ensure the phone is switched off.
2. Unscrew and lift the battery cover and remove the battery.
3. Slide and lift the silver clip over the designated slot located below the battery.
4. Place the SD card in the designated slot and close the silver clips, ensuring to slide it to
the left.
5. Replace the battery and the cover. Turn the battery cover screws clockwise to secure
the battery cover.
Note: When the Sonim XP STRIKE phone is connected to a computer using USB, the microSD
card is displayed as a separate drive in the computer.
Access the microSD Card
Follow the instruction below to access the contents of your microSD card.
► Select Menu (left selection key) > Tools > My files.
You can manage this folder and its files and transfer them between the microSD card
and the phone.
Follow the instructions below to view the memory details or format the microSD card:
► Highlight the microSD card folder and select Options (left selection key) > Memory
