7. How to use the MAN SEAL button (4.)
Pressing this button causes the red seal light (3.) to
go on and the sealing process starts immediately. This
allows you to prevent delicate, fragile foods from being
crushed (e.g. biscuits, etc.) (fig. L).
8. Vacuum packing in SOLIS MINI containers or in
containers sealed with SOLIS MINI Universal Caps
with new knob
SOLIS MINI containers and the SOLIS MINI Universal
Caps with star-shaped knob (see fig. M) make vacuum
packing easier, because the connection tube can be
directly introduced into the know central hole (see fig.
N).
SOLIS MINI Universal Caps, available in two diame-
ters (100 mm and 125 mm), are to be used on jars for
preserving food and bowls and receptacles made of
tempered glass. The Universal Caps work just like the
Caps for SOLIS MINI containers.
WARNING: When using Universal Caps do not use
plastic or glass containers that are not suitable since
they could implode under the vacuum pressure of
SOLIS MINI and cause injury.
8a Fill in the container by leaving at least a 3 cm room
from the container upper rim and place the lid on
the container. Turn the knob to “VACUUM” position
(fig. M)
8b Connect by means of the connection tube (12.)
the container lid knob to the unit air outlet port (6.)
(fig. N)
8c Press the ON button (1.) and hold it down until the
vacuum gauge light (2.) becomes completely
green.
8d Remove the tube from the container lid knob.
8e Turn the knob to “CLOSED” position.
8f Turn the knob to “OPEN” position to open the
containers, you should hear a hissing of air as it
enters the container. This sound guarantees that
the contents have been packed in a vacuum.
9. Vacuum packing in SOLIS MINI containers
Multiple-use containers to be used in larders and
refrigerators , suitable for frequent use and preserva-
tion of dry food such as biscuits, flour, coffee and
rice. They cannot be used in the freezer or
microwave oven nor.
9a Fill the container, leaving at least 3 cm of room
from the upper rim of the container and position
the cap on the container.
9b Connect by means of the connection tube (12.)
the cap attachment (13.) to the air outlet port (6.)
of the unit. Place the Cap Attachment on the lid of
the SOLIS MINI container (fig. O).

Press the ON button (1.) and hold it down until
vacuum gauge (2.) becomes completely green.
Make sure that the Cap Attachment holds firmly,
keeping it pressed with the your hand.

Remove the tube from the cap attachment. Take
out the cap attachment from the container lid.

Press “PUSH” button to open the containers.
10. Vacuum packing in glass jars sealed with metal
caps (type Leifheit)
Use the large size cap attachment to carry out the
packing cycle in large mouthed glass jars with metal
cap. However, the cap attachment is also available
in a small size for narrow-mouthed jars sealed with
metal caps.
10a Fill in the jar by leaving at least o 3 cm space
from the jar upper rim.
10b By means of the Connection Tube (12.) the
Cap Attachment (13.) to the Air Inlet (6.) of the
appliance. Place the cap attachment directly on
the jar with the metal cap only (14.) and press
down and make sure that the connection is
correct. (fig. P)
10c Press the ON button (1.) and hold it down until
the vacuum gauge light (2.) becomes completely
green. Make sure that the Cap Attachment holds
firmly, keeping it pressed with the your hand.
10d Take out the tube from the cap attachment.
Take out the cap attachment from the jar.
10e Mount and screw down the ring (15.) supplied
with the jar (fig. P).
10f To open a glass jar vacuum-sealed with a metal
cap, use the cap opener provided (the side with
writing should be turned up). Position the cap
opener as shown in figure Q and gently pry open
the cap until the vacuum is released. Remove the
metal cap. This accessory allows you to reuse
the cap.
11. Vacuum packing with the cap attachment in
SOLIS MINI containers or in containers sealed with
SOLIS MINI Universal Caps fitted with the old
version knob
12. Vacuum packing with SOLIS MINI bottle caps
The SOLIS MINI Bottle Cap may be used to cap partly
filled bottles of wine or non-fizzy beverages. Using the
Bottle Cap will allow you to create a vacuum in the
bottle to retard oxidisation and preserve the freshness
and flavour of its contents for a longer time.
12a By means of the connection tube (12.) connect the air
inlet (6.) of the appliance to the SOLIS MINI Bottle
Cap (16.) (fig. R). Press the Cap firmly into the bottle.
