27. Use only the blender jug and lid supplied with your blender. Unsuitable acces-
sories might cause electric shock, fire or personal damage.
28. Ensure that the lid is properly secured to the blender jug before starting the
blender, otherwise the contents might spill out. Additionally, the measuring cap
must be screwed into the lid or, respectively, the arrow on the citrus juicer must
be pointing to „BLEND“.
29. Before attempting to move, disassembling or cleaning, always ensure the appli-
ance is turned off by pressing the ON|OFF button on the control panel. Then take
the plug out of the power socket and unplug the cord. Make sure the motor and
blades have completely stopped. Please also proceed as described when appli-
ance is not in use.
30. When filled with heavy and solid contents, the appliance should not blend for
more than 10 seconds without pause. Allow the motor to rest for 1 minute
between each use. None of the recipes in this instruction book are considered
a heavy load.
31. If food becomes lodged around the blending blade, turn the blender off by press-
ing the ON|OFF button on the control panel. Then take the plug out of the power
socket. Make sure the motor and blades have completetly stopped before
removing the jug from the motor base. Use a plastic spatula to break up resp.
stir the foods around the blades before proceeding to blend. Do not use fingers
as the blades are sharp!
32. The blinking function light indicates that the appliance is ready for use. From now
on, do not reach into the blender jug and do not touch the blades.
33. Do not use the appliance when the blades are damaged or something other than
food is placed in the blender jug.
34. During use, keep hands, fingers, hair, clothing, jewellery and kitchen tools well
away from the blender jug and never reach inside. Danger of injury!
35. Only if the plug is pulled and the blades have come to a standstill you can reach
into the blender jug with your fingers, hands or kitchen utensils! Even then, exer-
cise extreme caution, as the blades also are very sharp when standing still. Avoid
touching the moving parts of the blender!
36. Be careful when handling the jug as the blades are very sharp. Be careful when
emptying the blender jug and during cleaning. Mishandling of the blades may
cause injury.
37. Do not remove the blender jug from the motor base while in operation or not
switched off.
38. Never use the appliance with a timer switch or a remote control. This will pre-
vent the appliance from switching on automatically or by mistake, f.e. after the
motor overload protection has been activated.
