Steam programmes for unwrinkling or refreshing
– Your drye r has unwr inkling and refr eshing programmes t hat can b e used for redu cing
odours and mini mising creasing in dry fabrics. Steam smoo ths and fresh ens up items of
clothing .
– Sorting th e laundry acc ording to s ize, weight, fabric and colour is nec essary.
– Only use Steam Re fresh/Drying for fabrics with the same p roperties.
– During stea m generati on (required) , additional no ises may oc cur.
– The result of refreshing and unwrink ling may vary depending on the type of fabric, size of
the load a nd programm e selecte d.
– After unwrin kling or refreshing, all fabrics must be r emoved immediately and hung crease-
free on a hanger or a w ashing line for 15 minute s.

Please ob serve the treatm ent symbo ls and manuf acturer's inst ructions o n the fabrics.
Do not us e Steam Re fresh/Drying f or fabrics made of wo ol, leather, con taining metal or
wooden pa rts as we ll as wax a nd oil jackets!

Steam Dr ying
Minimum Ir on Shirt s
Suitabl e for easy-ca re fabrics, e .g. formal shir ts. Fabrics are smoothed. Y ou can expec t
optimum results if “non-i ron” appears on the care labe l. After the progra mme has finis hed,
the items must be removed immediately and hung crease-fr ee on a hanger or washing line
for 15 min utes. The p rogramme is for up to 5 f ormal shirts.
Minimum Ir on Daily
Suitable for hard-w earing cotton fabrics, e.g. bed linen, tabl ecloths or formal shirts. Fabrics
are smoothed. Y ou can e xpec t optimum results i f “non-iron” appears on the c are label. Af ter
the programm e has finished, the items must be removed immediate ly and hung crease-fre e
on a han ger or washi ng line for 15 min utes. The p rogramme is for up to 5 f ormal shirts o r
1 to 2 large r items.

Profession al
Suitabl e for refreshing suits, jackets and tr ouser s, or dry-clean items that cannot be washed
in the wash ing machi ne a see the care labe l. The program me only ref reshes fabrics a nd
does not c lean the m. After the end of the pr ogramme, the ite ms must be removed
immed iately. Progra mme for 1 suit or 1 to 2 sm aller items .
Leisure
Suitabl e for refreshing c asual wear made of co tton or artifici al fibres. Fab rics must be
suitable for dryers a see the care label. The programm e refreshes fabrics only, and does
not clean them. After t he programme has finis hed, the fabrics must be rem oved
immedia tely. Progra mme for 1 pull over, 2 pairs of t rousers or form al shirts.

Filling the water tank:
Fill the d ryer's water tan k with dis tilled wa ter before ever y Steam Drying - Steam Refr esh
cycle.
1. Move the programme selector to Steam Drying
or Steam Re fresh .
The u symbol appears in the display.
2. Remove the condensation tank completely.
Before every Steam Drying - Steam Refresh cycle, fill the water tank with
distilled wa ter only. Do n ot use tap water, condens ation or additi ves.
3. Fill the water tank. Use the jug supplied.
If the water tank filter is dirty a clean t he filter in the wa ter tank.
See page 4.
4. Pour the distilled water into the filling hole on the water tank,
until the u symbol goes out on the display panel.
If drying the r ecomme nded load, approxima tely 250 to 3 00 ml of d istilled
water is used in the Steam Dryi ng - Steam R efresh progr ammes.
5. Insert the condensation container all the way.
6. Start the S team Drying or Steam Refresh programme.

Insta llation
– Scope of delivery: dryer, i nstallation and instruction manual, jug , basket for woollens
(depend ing on the m odel).
– Check dryer for trans port damage.
– The drye r is heavy. D o not attem pt to lift it on your own .
– Be care ful to avoid sharp edg es.
– Do no t install i n a room where t here i s a risk of fr eezing. F reezing water may c ause d amage.
– If in dou bt, have the a ppliance co nnected by a specialist.
– Do not lift the drye r by protrudin g parts (e.g . the door) - risk of breakage.
Setting up the d ryer
– The appl iance plug mu st always be accessib le.
– Ensure that the appliance is installed on a clean, level
and firm surface.
– Keep th e cooling g rille on the front of the dryer
clear.
– Keep the area around the dryer c lean.
– Level the dryer using the threaded feet.
Use a sp irit level.
– Do not re move the threa ded feet und er any
circumsta nces.

– Connect to an AC ea rthed socke t. If in doubt, have the so cket check ed by a speci alist.
– The mains voltage and the volta ge shown on the rati ng plate (a Page 11) must be the same.
– The con nected loa d and nece ssary fuse pr otection are spe cified on the rating plate .

The water tank must not contain any distilled water. If necessary, run the Steam/R efresh programme.

– For unwrinkling/ref reshing fabrics, u se distilled water only . Do not use
condensa tion, tap wa ter or additive s.
– Disti lled/condens ation water is not for drin king.
Defec t
– Do n ot use the dr yer if it is defe ctive or if you suspect that it is.
Repairs m ust only be ca rried out b y the after-sa les service.
– Do n ot use a dryer with a fau lty mains lea d. To preven t risks, a fault y mains
lead must only be repl aced by the after-sales se rvice.
– Befo re changing the bulb of the interior light make absolutely sure you have
pulled t he appliance plug from th e socket a risk of elec tric shock.

– Only use genuine spare parts a nd access ories for safet y reasons.
Dispo sal
– Dryer : unplug the a ppl iance plug, then cut the mains lead from t he appliance .
