The hob
Hotplate controls
Adjust the heat setting of the individual hotplates using the four
hotplate controls.
When you switch on a hotplate , the indicator lamp lights up.
Residual heat indicator
The hob has a residual heat indicator for each hotplate. It
shows which hotplates are still hot. Even if the hob is switched
off, the display remains lit until the hotplate has cooled down
sufficiently.
You can save energy by using the residual heat to keep a small
dish warm, for example.
Buttons
Rotary selector
The rotary selector is used to alter the default values and set
values. The
Î rotation symbol in the display shows which
value you can adjust.
The rotary selector is retractable. Press on the rotary selector to
pop it in or out.
Display
The display shows default values which you can change with
the rotary selector as required.
The display is divided into three display areas.
■ Heating type display
The type of heating or operating mode that has been
selected is displayed.
■ Clock display
The clock, timer, cooking time and end time are displayed, as
is the weight for the automatic programmes.
■ Temperature display
The temperature, grill setting, cleaning level and programme
number are displayed.
Rotation symbol
The
Î symbol indicates which value you can change with the
rotary selector.
Setting Meaning
0 Off position The hotplate is switched off.
1-9 Heat settings 1 = lowest setting
9 = highest setting
