replacing the lid.
-
The quality of the ground coffee can be
adjusted with several settings from fine to
coarse by means of the adjustment
control.
Adjustable grind settings:
- 1-3 for fine coffee
- 4-6 for automatic coffee makers
- 7-9 for brewing when no machine is
used
-
Make sure that the collection container
lid is properly fitted before attaching the
container itself to the main unit.
-
Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket.
-
Press the On/Off switch.
-
Use the timer to select the desired
grinding time. The scale allows for any
amount between 1 and 12 cups.
However, the grinding time largely
depends on the fineness selected and on
your personal taste, and is therefore only
an approximation. With a medium
setting, around 6 g per cup will be
ground.
-
The grinding process begins and will stop
automatically once the selected amount
of ground coffee has been produced.
-
The process can be stopped at any time
by pressing the On/Off switch.
-
After grinding, press the On/Off switch
and remove the plug from the wall socket
before the collection container is
removed and opened.
● Note: to ensure optimum coffee flavour,
only the required quantity of beans
should be ground immediately prior to
brewing. Should another grinding cycle
become necessary, however, the
maximum operating time of 60 seconds
must not be exceeded.
General care and cleaning
● Before cleaning the appliance, always
remove the plug from the wall socket and
wait until the motor has come to a
complete standstill.
● To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the housing or the power cord with
water, and do not immerse them in
water. The housing may be wiped with a
slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Wipe
thoroughly dry afterwards.
● Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning
solutions or hard brushes for cleaning.
-
The grinding mechanism may be opened
up for cleaning, and also in case of a
malfunction.
- Turn clockwise
to open the grinding mechanism
- Turn anti-clockwise
to close the grinding mechanism.
A small, soft brush is suitable for cleaning
the grinding mechanism and the outlet
opening.
● Caution: the grinding assembly has sharp
elements and care should therefore be
taken to avoid injury.
-
The collection container and the lids may
be cleaned using hot water and a mild
detergent. Wipe thoroughly dry
afterwards. These parts are not dish-
washer safe.
