Opening and closing of the firedoor
The door lock is located on the right side of the fire door. Use the lever provided, click it into the door lock
and pull the handle towards you to open the door. Push the handle away from you to close the door.
Saey stoves can only be used when the fire door is closed. Once in operation ,the fire door may only be
opened briefly to charge wood.
The heating temperature can be high. Always use the supplied cold handle and heat-resistant
glove to operate the air slide and door.
Operating the air control
The supply of air for combustion will be controlled on the front of the unit. It also controls the
combustion rate. The more to the left, the less combustion air
1. Ensure maximum air supply when lighting the stove.
2. Open the fire door and place a layer of small kindling wood on the ground grid.
3. Place 2 to 3 firelighting bricks between them, nicely spread out, at the front and at the back.
4. Then place the necessary amount of thin firewood on top.
5. Light the firelighters.
6. Put the door at a gap position
7. After firing, the fire door is firmly closed.
IMPORTANT : Do not open fire door except to refill.
If, 15 minutes after ignition, there is still kickback of smoke gases due to poor atmospheric conditions (e.g.
windless or foggy weather), the ignition should be stopped until there is an improvement in the weather.
Sometimes smoke kickback has another cause than poor ventilation. Maybe the wood species causes strong
smoke formation. The duct then cannot process the amount of flue gases. Or perhaps you are firing the right
wood, but there is a narrowing of the pipe or the flue. If you are unsure about the cause, please do not
hesitate to contact your dealer.
