Inserting and changing the batteries
Your easytip is powered by two (alkaline) 1.5 V batteries (IEC LR 03,
AAA)
Insert the batteries following the markings in the battery compartment.
If the acoustic signal does not sound as usual when pressing the keys
or if the device you are controlling fails to respond from the usual di-
stance then the batteries must be changed.
Do not remove the old batteries from the remote control until new ones
are available. The residual charge will maintain your code settings.
Be careful not to press any of the keys when you are changing batteries,
otherwise easytip will lose the data held in its memory.
Easytip`s memory function may fail if the batteries are defective, or
cannot be replaced in time. If this happens you will need to reenter the
codes (it is a good idea to keep a note of the codes in the operating
manual).
Please dispose batteries carefully.

Programming easytip
Programming by Code entering
1. Switch on your TV set.
2. Turn to the TV code list (other manual) and look for the name of your
TV manufacturer.
3. Press keys -/--(image b) and Teletext off (image i) together until the
acoustic signal sounds twice.
4. Enter the first 3-digit code from the list with the number keys
(image a) on your remote control.
ATTENTION!
The first figure of the 3-digit code must be entered within 5 seconds of
the acoustic signal sounding twice.
Otherwise the acoustic signal will sound once and you will have to
repeat the procedure from step 3.
5. After the 3-digit code has been entered the acoustic signal will sound
twice to indicate that the code has been accepted.
ATTENTION!
If you entered the first digit within 5 seconds but still hear one long bleep
after you have entered the code, this means the code you entered is in-
valid.
In this case, repeat the procedure from step 3.
6. Now point your easytip at your TV set and press the Power/Standby-
key (image g). Easytip is set up correctly if the TV set switches off.
7. If your TV set does not react to the TV code number you entered or if
it operates incorrectly, enter the next number listed against the TV
manufacturer`s name.
The TV code list shows the most common codes first.
