IMPO
WARNING Never touch or rub the
HEPA filter folds.
RTANT Do not use strong,
inflammable or abrasive cleaning products.
The air we breathe contains particles that
may be allergens: mite larvae and
droppings, mould, pollen, smoke and
animal residues (hair, skin, saliva, urine).
The smallest particles penetrate deep into
the respiratory system where they can
cause inflammation and cause lung impair-
ment.
HEPA filters (High Efficiency Particulate
Air) are used to filter out the smallest
particles.
With the HEPA filter, the air released back
into the room is healthier than the air that
is vacuumed.
The HEPA filter* is available from your
reseller or from a Rowenta Approved
Service Centre under reference
RS-RH4969.
If you notice your vacuum cleaner losing
power, then we recommend that you clean
the HEPA filter to retain vacuum perfor-
mance:
- remove the cover from the vacuum
cleaner (Fig. 12)
- remove the dust container by sliding it
slightly downwards (Fig. 13) then remove
the dust container cap (6c)
- pull out the HEPA filter and tap it lightly
over a waste container (Fig. 19)
Replace the HEPA filter inside the dust
container cap, refit the dust container
elements, then refit the complete assembly
onto the vacuum cleaner. Refit the vacuum
cleaner cover (5).
Depending on the model, your vacuum
cleaner is fitted with a microfilter (6b2)* or
a HEPA filter (6b5)*. The microfilter cannot
be cleaned. Dispose of the microfilter in a
waste container (Fig. 20) and replace it with
a new microfilter.
The microfilter is available from your
reseller or from a Rowenta Approved
Service Centre under reference RS-RH4968.
Wipe the vacuum cleaner casing and its
accessories with a soft damp cloth.
