FCleaning procedur es
Obser ve the rules below when cleaning or disinf ecting par ts. F ailure to observe these rules may
result in damage , inecient nebulization or aspiration or infection.
Befor e use or after each treatment, the manufacturer advises you to clean and/or disinf ect the
unit. Make sure the power switch of the nebulizer has been turned to the “OFF” (O) position and
the unit has been disconnected from the power sour ce befor e any cleaning pr ocedures.
Disconnect the air tube from both nebulizer kit/nasal washer/nasal aspirator and nebulizer device
after each use and disassemble the par ts of the unit described as below .
F-1 Nebulizer kit
1. Gently twist and pull up the cover of the nebulizer kit to open and separate.
2. Always dispose of any r emaining medication in the medication cup after each use.
F-2 Nasal washer
1. Detach nasal adaptor , top cover , separator and nozzle from the unit.
2. Dispose of the solutions in the return uid collection chamber after each use.
F-3 Nasal aspirat or
1. Detach the silicone tip with tube, top cov er and lter from the unit.
2. Dispose of the mucus in the collection chamber af ter each use .
Sanitization
Sanitize and rinse each par t with clean, warm water (about 40°C) with gentle dishwashing liquid
(non-abrasive). After cleaning , leave the parts to dr y in an open, clean environment.
Disinfection
The accessories which can be disinfected are nebuliz er k it, mouthpiece, nasal washer and nasal
aspirator . Y ou can choose one of the methods described below .
Method A: wash with a commercial (bacterial- germicidal) disinfectant and f ollow the instructions
and dilution rates supplied by the disinf ectant manufac turer car efully .
Method B: boil each of the par ts in water for 15~20 minut es, it is pr eferable to use de-mineralized
or distilled water to pr event calcium deposits.
I t is e ective on the par ts that undergo this treatment only if the parts to be treated hav e previously
been sanitized. A fter cleaning, leav e the par ts to dr y in an open, clean envir onment.
Note:
• F or the rst time cleaning or af ter the unit has been stored f or an ex tended period of time,
thoroughly clean all components , except the air tube. The nebulizer kit is dishwasher safe .
• Adult and Child mask can only be washed at <40°C(104°F)
• Never clean with benzene , thinner or a ammable chemical.
• After washing with the commercial disinfectant, please r inse with clean warm water and dr y
thoroughly bef ore using .
Cleaning the compr essor
Wipe the compr essor daily using a soft cloth.
NO TE: Any other f orm of cleaning or cleaning agents may damage the nish of the unit.
GChanging the air lter <Nebulizer de vice>
I t is impor tant to change the air lter approximately when the air lter turns gra y . I t is recommended
to change air lter every 2 months.
1. Remove the air lter cov er by gently pulling forward.
2. Discard the gra y lter .
3. Replace with a new , clean air lter .
4. Securely re-attach the air lter cover to the unit.
T roubleshooting
If any abnormalit y occurs during use, please check and correct the follo wings. We recommend
that you consult your local distributor or authorized Rossmax ser vice center if, after check ing the
described conditions below the device is still not work ing properly .

Unit does not operate when
power switch is pr essed. Check the AC connection to the power outlet.
No nebulization/aspiration or lack
of nebulization/aspiration, when
the power is on.
Check the main unit if there is an y physical damage.
Check the operating pressur e/vacuum meets the

Check the air lter and replace if necessary .
Check the tubing is not clogged, twisted or broken.
Make sure that the air tube is correctly connec ted to the
compressor and nebulizer kit or nasal washer or nasal
aspirator .
Check the par ts are clean, If not, carr y out the cleaning
procedur es.
Nebulizer kit/ nasal washer/ nasal
aspirator does not work
Check the nozzle is set properly in place inside the nebulizer
k it/ nasal washer .
Reassemble each individual par t and make sure it is in good
condition.
Check that there is medication in the nebulizer cup .
Make sure that the nebulizer k it is tilted at an angle less than
45°, or the aspirator is upright.
Check the solution has been properly poured int o the uid
chamber inside the nasal washer .
Check the trigger button has been pressed completely .
The compressor is v er y hot
Do not cover the compressor during use .
Do not use the device in an environment with temperatur es
higher than 40°C.

Degree of safety in the pr esence of ammable anesthetics or o xygen:
• No AP/APG (not suitable for use in the pr esence of ammable anesthetics or oxygen).
E-3 Operating y our nasal aspirat or
Dr y and ver y thick mucus inside the nose may be dissolved by saline solution. Nasal washer is
recommended to be used bef ore using nasal aspirat or to help remov e nasal mucus and secretions.
1. T urn the power switch to the “Nasal Aspir ator” (=) position.
2. Place your index nger o ver the opening on the nasal aspirator to activate the aspiration.
3. Adjust the level of vacuum turning vacuum regulat or , and check that the unit makes the vacuum
without any leakage and this le vel varies when the vacuum r egulator is acted on.
Note: T urn the vacuum regulator clockwise, in the “+” direction, to obtain a higher vacuum; or
anti- clockwise for a lower vacuum.
4. Inser t the silicone tip into one of the nostrils gently . Use the aspirator f or 3 seconds for 4 times
per nostril.
Caution:
• Befor e using the nasal aspirator , tr y it on the hand to see if the aspiration works.
• The nasal aspirator is applicable to baby . K eep your baby in a comfortable position and mak e
sure that his/her head is lifted.
• While using, keep the aspirator in the upr igh t position with the nger opening on top, and the
collection chamber should be emptied when the stem inside the unit is over lled with sucked
mucus. This prevents the mucus fr om entering the suction pump.
• Do not tilt or place the nasal aspirator on the table befor e turning o the device.
Note:
• Air lters cannot be cleaned or washed.
• Only NK1000 air lters can be used. Do not substitute alternate mat erial such as cotton.
• Do not operate without an air lter .
• D o not expose air lter to direct sunlight, or the per formance is impaired due to aging phenomenon.
• Check that the air lters are clean and fr ee of dust befor e inser ting them.
Changing the lter <Nasal aspira tor>
The lt er supplied with Rossmax nasal aspirator is recommended to be replaced for each new user ,
or if overow occurs or the lter is saturated. It should also be replaced if the unit is used with
dier ent person whose risk of contamination is unk nown.
Note:
• The lt er cannot be washed, sanitized , disinfected , or sterilized.
• Do not use the nasal aspirator without the lter , the suction pump could be damaged. F r om a
bacteriological point of view , it becomes dangerous f or the users.
• Do not substitute this lter with any other material. Substitution may lead to contamination or
poor per formance; use only Rossmax lter .
Removing c ondensation from the air tube
F ollow the below pr ocedures if ther e is moisture or medication remaining in the air tube used on
nebulizer kit/nasal washer .
1. Make sure that the air tube is connected to the air outlet on the compressor .
2. Remove the air tube from the nebuliz er k it or nasal washer .
3. Switch on the device and pump air through the air tube t o expel the moisture.
Elec tromagnetic C ompatibility Inf ormation
1. This device needs to be installed and put into service in accordance with the information pr ovided
in the user manual.
2. W ARNING: Portable RF communications equipment (including per ipherals such as antenna cables
and exter nal antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any par t of the NK1000,
including cables specied by the manufacturer . O ther wise, degradation of the performance of
this device could result.
If higher IMMUNIT Y TEST LEVELS than those specied in T able 9 are used, the minimum separation
distance may be lowered. Lo wer minimum separation distances shall be calculated using the
equation specied in 8.10.
