• The appliance switches to standby mode. This is indicated by a signal tone and the ”20:00“ minutes
in the display.
• By pressing the button ”time“ the preparation time can be increased to max. 40 minutes at minute
intervals.
• The preparation time depends on the starting temperature, the type of ice cream and the desired
consistency. You can refer to the times in the recipe part as a basis.
NOTE: When pressing the button permanently, the time increases at minute intervals up to ”40:00“
minutes. Afterwards the display switches back to ”20:00“ minutes.
• Press the button “start/pause” for starting. The appliance starts, the countdown runs and is shown in
the display.
• Open the cover flap of the filling hole and then carefully pour the ice cream mixture into the freezer
bowl. Observe the maximum filling quantity of 500 ml.
• Close the cover flap afterwards.
NOTE: Only pour in the mixture when the stirrer is running to avoid a frozen layer at the surface of the
freezer bowl.
3.) Refilling of ingredients
• If required, you can add additional ingredients through the refill aperture.
• Open the cover flap and add the ingredients.
• Close the cover flap afterwards.
4.) Change the preparation time during operation
• Press button “start/pause“ to pause the preparation. The displayed time stops.
• Change the preparation time to the desired duration by pressing the button “time“.
• By pressing the button “start/pause“ again, the preparation is continued.
5.) End of the preparation
• Press the button “start/pause” for stopping the preparation. The countdown in the display stops.
• Pull the mains plug for a complete switch off and prior to storage.
NOTE: Don´t switch off the appliance too early to avoid the formation of a frozen layer at the surface of
the freezer bowl.
For the preparation of a second batch, the freezer bowl has to be chilled in the freezer for 12 hours
again. If the coolant in the freezer bowl isn´t completely defrosted after the preparation and the cleaning
process, the freezer bowl can be used again after freezing for a shorter time (approx. 6 hours).
NOTE: If you like to prepare several types or batches of ice cream successively, you can purchase a second
freezer bowl, which is commercially available under model number IB 05. It can be stored in the freezer
at - 18 °C as a spare .
6.) After preparation
• The appliance switches into standby mode automatically after the set time has elapsed.
• An acoustic signal sounds during the last 10 seconds. The display shows “20:00“ again.
• Unplug the appliance before removing the prepared ice cream resp. before disassembling.
• Unlock the upper part of casing with both lateral locking clamps.
• Lift the upper part of casing carefully and remove the stirrer from the motor unit.
• Remove the finished ice cream from the freezer bowl. You can use the included ice cream scoop to do this.
NOTE: Never use any metal objects to remove the ice cream from the freezer bowl! This would
damage its surface.
