Attention! A damaged power cord presents a hazard of life by electric shock. Have
appliances, which do not work faultlessly or which are damaged, immediately and only
checked and repaired by the after-sales service.
Attention! Hazard of burns! During operation, the appliance’s surfaces are getting hot
and firstly stay hot even after switching off the appliance. Mind the hazard of burns when
touching the appliance.
• Attention! Hazard of fire! Overheated fats and oils can inflame. Therefore, food
containing fats and oils may only be prepared under supervision.
• Do not use the appliance as depositing rack or worktop and do not transport it when hot.
• Never immerse the appliance in water for cleaning. Make sure no steam or water can
infiltrate the underside.
• This electrical appliance complies with the relevant safety standards. In case of signs of
damage to the appliance or the power cord, unplug the appliance immediately.
• Repairs may be effected by authorised specialist shops only. Improper repairs may result in
considerable dangers for the user.
ATTENTION
• Only use heat-proof containers made of metal, fire-proof glass or ceramic for roasting and
baking.
• Attention! Hazard of fire! Never cover the crumb tray with aluminium foil.
• Do not use the appliance as depositing rack or worktop and do not transport it when hot.
Do not use it as a space heater.
• To reduce the injury risk by tangling in a too long cord or by stumbling across it, the appliance
has a short cord. Using an extension cord is not recommended
Prior to initial use
• Remove all packaging from both appliance and equipment.
• Take the rotisserie spit and the rotisserie handle out of the oven.
• Heat the heating plates without a pot for approximately 5 minutes at maximum
setting. This will give optimal protection to the coating on the plates.
• Afterwards heat the oven for approximately 10 minutes at maximum temperature on
function "upper and lower heat".
In this way the protective coating of the various heating elements is burned in. Please disregard
the temporary formation of harmless smoke.
• After the appliance has cooled down, please clean the appliance according to the instructions
under “Cleaning and maintenance”. Prior to operation all parts must be completely dry and there
must not be any residual water at or in the appliance.
• By means of the handle included, the baking tray and the grill grid can be removed from the
oven even in hot condition.
How to operate your appliance
Operating the cooking plates
• The heating plates of the appliance are equipped with a 7-step switch.
Please use the following settings:
level 1 – 3 cooking of small portions, heating up, keeping warm
level 4 – 5 cooking of larger portions, roasting, stewing, steaming
level 6 full power for parboiling and frying
• Only use pots and pans with a suitable diameter (also fire-proof glass or chinaware). If the pot
bottom is uneven or too small, you will waste energy and not use the maximum heat output.
• The cooking plate and the pot bottom must always be clean and dry.
• If you turn back the temperature in time, you will save energy. You will find further
information in every usual cookbook.
