• Our electrical appliances comply with the relevant safety standards. In case of signs of
damage to the appliance or the power cord, unplug the appliance immediately. Repairs
may be effected by authorised specialist shops only. Improper repairs may result in
considerable dangers for the user.
• This appliance is only suitable for normal household use and not for commercial use.
• Do not use the appliance as space heater. Improper use and disregarding of the
instruction manual will lead to loss of warranty.
Please observe
• Place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface (no varnished tables, no table cloths). Do
not operate the appliance in the proximity of other sources of heat (stove, gas flame).
• Place the appliance on a level, stable surface in safe distance to walls and cupboards to

Prior to initial use
Plug in the mains plug. Heat each heating plate without pot for approx. 10
minutes at the highest level. Thereby, the plate coating gets its optimal protection
effect. Please do not be bothered by the slight formation of harmless smoke for a short time.
How to operate your appliance
Each heating plate is equipped with a thermostat, which offers an infinitely variable
regulation and overheating protection at the same time. The respective pilot lamp goes
out as soon as the set temperature is reached. The alternating lighting-up and going-out
during operation shows the thermostatic regulation.
Only use pots and pans with appropriate diameter. If the pot bottom is uneven or too
small, energy will be wasted.
Turn off your appliance in time and use the energy stored in the heating plate for keeping
your food warm.
Pulling the mains plug ensures a safe switch-off.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before cleaning always pull the mains plug and let the appliance cool down
completely.
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and detergent, do not use abrasives and steel wool.
Do not immerse the appliance in water and make sure no steam may infiltrate. The
appliance must not be cleaned with a steam jet appliance.
Always keep heating plates dry since dampness and steam will result in rust formation. In
the course of time, the stainless steel surface can tarnish. This is not a reason for com-
plaint. Such impurities can be removed with a commercially available special cleaning
agent for stainless steel. Proceed according to the instructions on the cleaning agent.
