this appliance for a long time, please read the following information carefully and follow it.

For your safety
Prior to initial use, please read these instructions carefully and keep them for all future
users.
Only use the appliance for the purpose specified in this manual. Improper use will result
in the loss of the right to claim under guarantee.
Make sure the mains voltage is identical with the details indicated on the rating plate.
Only connect unit to an AC outlet.
Put the appliance on a heat-resistant, stable and even working surface. Do not operate
unit in the proximity of other heat sources (electric cooker, open gas flame etc.). For the
protection against danger of fire the space over the appliance (category B) has to be kept
free and the distance between the appliance and any wall has to be at least 10 cm. Un-
hindered air supply has to be ensured. Only operate the appliance under supervision.
Caution: Glass door and casing will become hot during use. Caution: Danger of getting
burned! Do not splash cold water on to the hot oven door! Do not store any objects on
top of the appliance!
Children are not aware of the dangers which might arise when handling electrical appli-
ances. For this reason never let children use electrical appliances without supervision.
In use the power cord – as well as those of other neighbouring electrical appliances -
must not touch any hot parts of the appliance.
During operation the spacers on the backside of the appliance must not be used for roll-
ing up the power cord.
Do not use the appliance as a space heater. The safest way to switch the appliance off is
to pull out the mains plug. Also proceed this way prior to replacing the oven lamp!
Our electrical appliances comply with the relevant safety regulations. Should the appli-
ance or the power cord be damaged, disconnect the mains plug immediately. Repairs
may only be carried out by authorised specialist shops. Improper repairs may result in
considerable dangers for the user!
Initial use
For a start, please clean the roasting tray, the grill grid and the crumb tray in warm water
with some dishwashing detergent.
Prior to initial use the protective coating on the heating elements has to
be burnt in. In
order to do so, please heat the appliance up at maximum power for approx. 20 minutes by
choosing the "upper/lower heat" function. Please do not be bothered by the harmless
smokes and smells that will be generated for a short while.
After the appliance has cooled, please clean the interior oven with a moist cloth. Prior to
each operation make sure the oven is dry.
