USING THE UNIT SAFEL Y
°
IMPORT ANT NO TES
Placement
• Do not allow lighting devices that normally ar e used while their
light source is very close to the unit (such as a piano light), or
powerful spotlights to shine upon the same area of the unit for
extended periods of time. Excessive heat can def orm or discolor
the unit.
• Do not allow objects to remain on top of the keyboar d. T his can
be the cause of malfunction, such as keys ceasing to produce
sound.
Maintenance
• The pedal and hinge of this unit are made of br ass. Brass
eventually darkens as the result of the natural oxidiza tion process.
If the brass becomes tarnished, polish it using commercially
available metal polisher .
Care of the Keyboard
• Do not write on the keyboard with an y pen or other implement,
and do not stamp or place any marking on the instrument. Ink will
seep into the surface lines and become unremovable.
• Do not ax stickers on the keyboard. Y ou may be unable to
remove stickers that use strong adhesiv es, and the adhesive may
cause discoloration.
• T o remove stubborn dirt, use a commercially available keyboard
cleaner that does not contain abrasives. Start by wiping lightly .
If the dirt does not come o, wipe using gradually increasing
amounts of pressure while taking care not to scratch the keys .
Concerning the Care of the Unit (Mirror Finish)
• Since your piano has a polished nish that is as delica te as
that found on nely crafted wooden furniture, it needs car eful,
periodic care. A few important suggestions concerning the proper
care of the unit follow .
• F or regular dusting, use a soft, clean cloth and/or a piano-use
feather duster . Be sure to wipe gently. Even tin y granules of
grit can damage the surface of the unit if you use too much
pressure when wiping.
• If the cabinet gets dirty, wipe it with a soft cloth that has been
soaked with water , then squeezed dr y . Afterwards, wipe it
again with a soft dry cloth. Do not use cleaning agents other
than the included polishing liquid, since they may adversely
aect the polished surfaces, possibly causing cracking or
other damage. Do not use chemically-treated wiping cloths.
• If the cabinet’ s sur face loses its luster , wipe it thoroughly with
a soft cloth dampened with a little of the polishing liquid.
W ARNING
Concerning the Auto O function

voltage
Be sure to use only the AC adaptor supplied with the
unit. Also, make sure the line v oltage at the installation
matches the input voltage specied on the AC
adaptor’ s body. Other AC adaptors may use a di erent
polarity, or be designed for a di erent voltage, so their
use could result in damage, malfunction, or electric shock.
Use only the supplied pow er cord
Use only the attached power cord . Also, the supplied
power cord must not be used with an y other device.
Use due care when handling the lid
• The lid should be opened and closed only by an

unexpectedly. Also , when opening the lid, make
sure that no one is in the way .
