DISPOSAL
Electronic and electrical equipment as well as batteries contain materials,
components and substances that may be detrimental to you and your
environment if the waste materials (discarded and waste electronic equipment
and batteries) are not handled correctly.
Electrical and electronic equipment as well as batteries are marked with the
crossed-out wheelie bin, as shown. This symbol means that old electrical and
electronic equipment and batteries must not be disposed of with the trash and
must be disposed of separately.
As an end user, it is necessary that you deliver your depleted batteries to the
appropriate collection points. In this way you ensure that the batteries are
recycled according to the legislation and do not cause any environmental
damage.
Cities and municipalities have set up collection points where electrical and
electronic waste and batteries can be returned free of charge for recycling,
alternatively pickup is also provided. Further information can be obtained
directly from your city administration.
