Legend/Operating limits
Fin heat exchanger
The copper/aluminium fin heat exchangers consist of circular copper pipes with aluminium fins. The connecting pipes
of thick-wall steel tube are lead out of the housing on the slanted sides. The twistproof connections have a 1“ inter-
nal thread.
The heat exchanger and type of housing determine the operating limits.
The maximum flow temperature in heating operation must not exceed 90°C.
The minimum flow temperature in cooling operation must not fall below 4°C.
An operating pressure in the heating/cooling circuit of 16 bar must not be exceeded.
In the immediate vicinity of the units, the temperature must not exceed 70°C (accumulated heat).
Fan and motor
The fan is driven by an external-rotor motor which simultaneously forms the fan hub.
With the external-rotor motor, the impeller with its drive motor is an optimal unit for applications in the field of
heating and ventilation.
The axial flow fan is statically and dynamically balanced.
The rotor housing is made of cast aluminium.

Ambient temperature (suction temperature) up to max. 40 °C
Motor protection
Thermal contacts are embedded in the motor windings.
These thermal contacts (temperature monitors) open when the maximum winding temperature of 135°C is ex-
ceeded (fault). Where the units are used in combination, all thermal contacts must be connected in series. This
theoretically allows any number of motors to be protected with a motor protection device.
However, the number of air heaters is generally limited by the switching capacity of the control units.
