The target date “January 1, 2001” has been
preset for the timer.
The timer counts down and displays the
remaining days until the target date.
On the day before the target date, the remaining
hours are displayed.
When the watch indicates “12:00 a.m., January
1, 2001”, the messages meaning “A Happy
New Century!” and written in 11 different
languages scroll one by one, as the watch
plays the melody of “Ode to Joy” in Beethoven’s
Ninth Symphony.
As the target date has come, the timer counts
up and displays the elapsed seconds, minutes,
hours and then days up to 9,999 days.
