Carpenter chain saw CCP 380 is designed exclu-
sively for longitudial and diagonal cuts of full mas-
sive wood. The machine is operated by a person
who holds it and guides with the help of determi-
ned grips and handrails.
Any different usage is considered to be non-deter-
mined for this machine.
The producer of the machine is not responsible for
any damage caused by non-determined usage.
Only the user of the machine takes responsibility
for such usage.
Also keeping operation, service and repair condi-
tions defined by the producer belong under the
determined usage of the machine.
It is necessary to unconditionally keep all valid ru-
les concerning work safety, safety instructions
stated in the chapter Safety Instructions, as well
as all other generally valid health and work prin-
ciples. The producer is not responsible for any da-
mage caused by unauthorised changes carried
out on the machine.
Even when the machine is used as de-
termined and all relevant safety rules
are kept the following remained safety
risks can occur because of the con-
structed arrangement of the machine
and its usage:
❏ Injury from cutting teeth when changing the
chain.
❏ Injury from touching the chain on its cutting
area.
❏ Catching clothes by the running chain.
❏ Injury from flying scraps or parts of the machi-
ne.
❏ Danger which can be caused by the movable
supply wire.
❏ Reverse impact caused by jamming the
chain.
❏ Concentration of wooden dust jeopardizing
health when working in poorly aired areas.
❏ Injury from touching the parts which are under
electrical voltage when dismantling the ma-
chine or its parts while the plug of the movable
supply is not removed from the socket.
❏ Hearing damage from long-term work without
ear protectors.
For safe operation of the machine it is
necessary to keep all valid rules in the
area of work safety and safety instruc-
tions of the machine’s producer.
Safe work with tools is possible only if
you properly read this manual for usa-
ge and you strictly follow the instruc-
tions mentioned here.
❏ Follow the safety rules which are part of the
delivery of each machine.
❏ Only properly trained people can operate the
machine, carry out the service and repair the
machine. These people must reach a certain
age determined by law and must be thoroug-
hly acquainted with the following:
◆ work safety
◆ proper machine usage
◆ remained safety risks
◆ service manual which was thoroughly un-
derstood by those people
❏ Before the machine is switched on, fill in the
receptacle for greasing the chain with oil. Wi-
thout oil in the oil pump, it will get damaged af-
ter a very short time of operation.
❏ When using the machine in closed areas
ensure enough airing or use suction.
❏ Remove from the material to be cut all alien
elements, especially metals, which can dama-
ge the tool and can cause injury.
❏ Be careful about throwing away sawdust! If
the hole for throwing away sawdust is plugged
you must switch the machine off and pull out
the supply mains from the socket. It is not pos-
sible to take off the protection shield and to
clean the plugged hole until the machine
stops. Do not ever touch the hole for throwing
away sawdust, untill the machine is at a total
standstill.
❏ If the level of acoustic pressure overexceeds
85 dB (A), you must use hearing protectors!
❏ The machine can be switched on only when it
is mounted on the cut piece. Do not start cut-
ting before the machine reaches full revoluti-
ons.
❏ Do not remove the machine from the cut piece
before the chain is at a standstill.
❏
Keep your work place in order. Mess in your
work place can cause working injury.
❏ Pay attention to environmental influences. Do
not leave the machine in rain and do not use
it in a wet or humid environment.
