CLEANING
ALWAYS UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING. NEVER IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE
IN WATER!
Clean the appliance after each time that you use it. Clean the outside with a damp cloth. The loose
components should be cleaned in warm water with washing-up liquid and then rinsed with clean water
from the tap. Do not use any sharp metal objects or corrosive substances on the machine or its parts. If
the machine is very dirty the blade can be removed by loosening the screw lock with a coin. Make sure
you handle the blade with care!
Damage to the blade is not covered by the warranty conditions.
PRINCESS TIPS
- Set the product on a sturdy, stable surface.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure that the appliance is not so close to the edge of the table or work surface that someone could
knock it off. Also, ensure that the cord is not trailing where someone could trip over it.
- Do not use the product if it is damaged or if the cable is damaged. Instead, send it to our service
department. With this type of appliance, a damaged cable should only be replaced by our service
department using special tools.
- Do not place the appliance on or directly adjacent to a warm hotplate or other source of heat.
- Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or if any fault develops.
- The blade is very sharp. Ensure that children cannot reach it, and be careful yourself.
- Do not use any abrasive cleaning materials.
- Only use the appliance according to the instructions.
- Do not use any accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Use the slicer only for normal foods such as bread, cheese and meat products. Never try to use it to
slice very hard foods.
- You should always use this appliance with the slide rail and the holder, unless the shape or size of
the product being sliced makes this impossible.
- This appliance should not be used for longer than 10 minutes at a time. After 10 minutes' use, the
machine should be switched off for 30 minutes.
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE = NEUTRAL, BROWN = LIVE, GREEN-YELLOW = EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN-YELLOW must be connected to the earth terminal which is marked
with the letter E or or coloured green and yellow.
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 13 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other type of plug is
used a 15 amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.
