The Princess Red AM/FM Radio is an attractive retro-design radio that is easy to operate.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PARTS

USING THE RADIO
Check that your domestic electricity supply matches that of the appliance. Insert the plug at the end of the
cable supplied into the socket (5) on the back of the radio and plug the other end into the mains.
Turning the volume dial (3) to the right switches then radio on and alters the volume. You can then use
the AM/FM switch to select the desired waveband. The tuning dial can be used to search for the radio
station or frequency desired.
Tip: For optimum FM reception the end of the antenna wire needs to be well positioned.
PRINCESS TIPS
- The mains switch on this appliance is part of the secondary switching which means that even when
switched off there may still be power in the appliance.
- In order to avoid fire or electric shock, keep the appliance away from rain or damp.
- If the radio or cord is damaged, we advise you not to use the appliance but to take it to the retailer for
repair. This kind of defect may only be repaired by a recognised service agent.
- Do not use outdoors.
- To clean the appliance, a dry cloth should be used only.
U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE-neutral BROWN-LIVE
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the
colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter L or coloured red.
NEITHER CORE should be connected to the earth terminal of a three pin plug marked
with the letter E or or coloured green and yellow.
With this appliance, if a 13 amp plug is used a 13 amp fuse should be fitted. If any other type
of plug is used a 15 amp fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.
