▪ To eliminate weeds, hold the nozzle over the weeds for about 5-10 seconds. During these
5-10 seconds the cell structure of the weed is destroyed. As a result, the weed dies within
a few days.
▪ It is not necessary to completely burn the weeds, 5-10 seconds is more than sufficient.
▪ You switch the device off (temporarily) by sliding the power switch back to 0.
The effects are not visible immediately but will take a while before they can be seen. It is more
of a long-term effect.
9.2.2 Lighter bbq / fire place:
The BBQ and fireplace lighter is always to be used without the extension handle.
▪ Attach the BBQ nozzle onto the device
▪ Place the nozzle under the coal or the wood.
▪ Ensure that the firelighter is properly positioned
▪ Insert the plug into the socket
▪ Check to ensure the nozzle is not blocked before turning the device on.
▪ Slide the on/off and power switch to position II: the device starts to work.
▪ Remove the device from the coals or the wood as soon as it starts to glow
▪ Now blow hot air into the coals or the wood from a distance of around 10 – 20 cm, until the
coals or wood is burning properly.
▪ Doing this will help to avoid damaging the nozzle attachment. Exposing the nozzle to high
temperatures for a prolonged period of time could cause the materials to melt. Please
follow these instructions to achieve long-term enjoyment with the product.
Watch Out! To avoid overheating of the BBQ or Fireplace do not use the
device for longer than necessary.
9.3 Cooling and permanent switching off:
Before turning off the device permanently, it must be cooled first. Select temperature setting I
for at least one minute. The device can be switched off thereafter.
During cooling down the appliance can be placed on its stand to allow it to cool down before
storage. Never leave the appliance unattended!
9.4 Storage:
Make sure that the device has completely cooled down before storing.
10 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before performing any work on the equipment, pull the power plug.
▪ Keep the ventilation slots of the machine clean to prevent overheating of the engine.
▪ Regularly clean the machine housing with a soft cloth, preferably after each use.
▪ Keep the ventilation slots free from dust and dirt.
▪ If the dirt does not come off use a soft cloth moistened with soapy water.
▪ Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water, etc. These solvents may
damage the plastic parts.
Make sure no water can reach the inside of the power tool!
