7 OPERATION
WARNING: Prior to assembly and adjustment always pull out the power plug
from the mains socket.
7.1 Switching on/off (Fig. 1)
▪ Plug the cord set into power socket.
▪ Start the tool by squeezing the ON/OFF switch (9).
▪ Release the ON/OFF switch to stop the tool.
▪ If you press the lock-on button (8) while the ON/OFF switch is depressed, the ON/OFF
switch is kept in the operating position.
▪ To release the ON/OFF switch (9) and turn the tool off.
7.2 Forward/reverse lever (Fig. 2)
▪ The forward/reverse lever (6) is to determine the rotation direction of the chuck.
▪ To select forward rotation, release the ON/OFF switch (9) and push the forward/reverse
lever to right (R) side of the tool. To select reverse rotation, push the lever to left (L) side
of the tool.
NOTE: When changing the position of the lever, be sure the ON/OFF switch
is released and the motor is stationary.
7.3 Variable speed (Fig. 3)
This tool has a speed control dial (7) that delivers higher speed by turning to the “+” direction,
and delivers lower speed by turning to “-”direction.
7.4 Two-speed selector (Fig. 4)
▪ Mark “1”is Low speed position
▪ Mark “2” is High speed position.
The drill has a two-speed gear train designed for drilling at (1) or (2) speed. A gear selector is
located on the left of the drill to select either low or high speed. When you select low speed
range, the speed will decrease but will provide more power and torque. When using drill in the
high speed range, speed will increase but will provide less power and torque. Use low speed
for high power and torque application and high speed for fast drilling applications.
NEVER adjust this two-speed selector (5) whilst the drill is running. Always
let it come to a complete stop first.
7.5 Drill or impact mode selector (Fig. 5)
The drill and impact mode selector is on the top of this impact drill.
▪ Push the button of drill /impact mode selector (4) to the “ ” to select the impact mode of
action.
▪ Push the button of drill/impact mode selector to the drill position “ ” to select the drill mode
of action.
7.6 For proper operations
▪ Hold the drill with your first two fingers on the ON/OFF switch (9).
▪ Use the auxiliary handle subassembly (3) where possible to gain extra control and to
prevent fatigue.
▪ For wood, use twist drill bits, spade bits power auger bits, or hole saw.
▪ For metal use high seed steel twist drill bits or hole saws.
