To remove: Press the battery release button (10) and pull the battery pack (9) out at the
same time.
10 OPERATION
10.1 Switching ON/OFF (Fig. A)
▪ Switching the power tool ON: slide the ON/OFF switch button (1) into the ON position.
▪ Switching the power tool OFF: slide the ON/OFF switch button (1) into the OFF position.
10.2 Attaching small tools directly to the multi tool. (Fig. A & B )
▪ Turn the collet chuck (4) slightly while holding down the shaft lock button (3) until the
button engages.
▪ Never press down on the spindle lock button while the tool is running.
▪ If the collet chuck (4) can not be loosened by hand, use the small spanner (B5).
▪ Change the attachment tool. Always tighten attachment tools as much as possible. Shafts
which extend out from the collet will cause wobbling.
▪ Tighten the collet chuck.
10.3 Setting the speed (Fig. A )
▪ The multi tool speed is continuously adjustable. Always start from the lowest speed and
then increase the speed to the desired level.
▪ To adjust the speed, turn the speed dial (2). Position “MIN” denotes the lowest speed.
Position “MAX” denotes the highest speed. Turn the dial to increase or decrease the
speed
10.4 Accessories (Fig. B)
10.4.1 Grinding bits (B7)
Use: sharpening, deburring, rust removal, shaping.
10.4.2 Grinding points (B11) (B12)
Use: For fine engraving of various materials.
Tip: Work on metals at a low speed and process as if it were hardwood.
Plastics must be processed at low speeds because of their tendency to melt during
processing.
Operating the multi tool at a higher speed will lessen vibration.
10.4.3 Sander (B8 + B13) (B10b + B2)
▪ Use: sanding , smoothing and shaping wood and fiberglass.
10.4.4 Drill bit (B9)
Use: drill small holes in wood.
10.4.5 Cutting disc (B10b + B14)
Use: Cutting or slitting bolts, screws , sheet metal, thin wood and plastic.
10.4.6 Buffing wheels (B10a + B1)
Use: Buffing and shining smooth surfaces i.e. metals, paint, leather etc.
Use the polishing compound (B3) to achieve a fine finish.
10.4.7 Wire brush (B6)
Use: Removing rust,paint and encrusted dirt form metal surfaces.
