• Some parts of the iron have been slightly greased and as a
result the iron might slightly smoke when connected for the
first time. After a short while, however, this will cease.
• Before using the first time remove the Greblon
®
sticker from
the soleplate. Clean the soleplate with a soft cloth.
• Do not connect the appliance to a wall socket intended for
shavers.
• Do not use the iron in your hotel room simultaneously with
another high-wattage appliance (e.g. a hair dryer) to avoid the
fuse to blow.
• Do not store the appliance immediately after use but let it cool
down first for at least half an hour. The iron will cool down
quicker if you unplug it and pass the hot soleplate over a wet
towel a few times.
• Do not forget to pour out the remaining water after use.
• Do not leave the iron unattended while it is connected to the
mains supply.
• If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a
service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
