To
clean
the

it
is
necessary
to
tip
the
machine
back,

the
hook
in

with

with
thumb
and

finger

left
hand,
seize
the under
bobbin

at
the
central
stud

lift

hook
body.
Thus,
the
groove

the
under
bobbin
case
withdraws
automatically
from
nose

of
the
bobbin
case
holder.
After
thoroughly
cleaning
the
individual
parts
from
fluff,
replace
them
in
reverse
order.
Begin
by
turning
the
balance
wheel
so
that
hook
and
under bobbin
case
assume
the
position
observed
in
fig.
9,
then,
push
groove
R
of
the
under
bobbin
case
holder
and
insert
the
under
bobbin
case
in
the
body
of
the
hook.
This
done,
replace
the
hook
bow,
fastening
it
with
screws
S
1,
S
2,
and
S
3
and
finally,
insert
the
upper
bobbin
case

with the
bobbin.

the ruler

suitable
for
producing
narrow
edges.

length
of
of an
inch
of
the
edge
of
the
material
to
the
width
of
hem
and
guide
it
evenly
into
the
curl
of the
hemmer,
as
shown
in
fig.
