In order to enjoy your Automatic CoffeePad Machine for a long
time, please observe the following instructions:
Never place damaged pads, loose coffee powder or instant coffee into the pad insert.
When you brew your favorite coffee with the powder insert, please thoroughly remove any
powder residue that may adhere on the exterior, before you insert the powder insert.
Regularly check, if the center opening of the pad insert is unobstructed. These can even
become plugged by the fibers of paper towels during cleaning.
If you do not observe these instructions, the pad insert can become plugged. The rocker
lever (5) then can no longer be pushed to the right to remove the pad insert (6).
If this should occur at some point due to carelessness, pull the power plug and let the appli-
ance cool off for one hour. If the blockage has not been released, there is an option of an
emergency opening:
For this you will need a paper clip that was straightened. Please verify that the end of the
wire is free from burrs, so that it will not damage the seal in the appliance.
Caution, coffee will splatter out of the appliance, which could still be hot!
Please hold the clip with a kitchen towel.
Immediately next to the handle of the pad insert you will find a small opening in the housing on
both sides. In sert the clip horizontally into the opening that is easiest to access and press it
lightly toward the inside. The pressure will suddenly escape after approx. 3 cm and some cof-
fee will escape. The rocking lever can then be moved again. Remove the pad insert and clean
it thoroughly.
