Mounting cooker hoods without a
visor
To be built-in with canopies (island models).
Saw out a hole in the bottom of the canopy,
with the dimensions 460x260 mm (see
'Building-in dimensions', pag.16). The cooker
hood can be mounted with the 4 screws
provided. Mount a wall socket in the canopy
recess for the electrical connection.
Cooker hood with remote motor
unit
This cooker hood can only be used in
combination with a mechanical ventilation
system.
Control methods
There are two control methods:
■ The extraction is regulated with a switch
on the motor unit.
■ The motor unit is regulated with a switch
on the cooker hood.
The motor unit
The motor unit must be single phase (230 V-
50Hz) with various speeds. Whichever method
of extraction is selected, it must never be
possible to switch the motor unit off (see for
this only the motor unit manual). The various
possibilities are often given in terms of:
Medium or day setting, high or cooking
setting.
Note
The cooker hood with remote motor unit has a
mechanical cut-off valve in the duct. The
valve can be opened or closed with the handle
near the light panel.
Wiring the cooker hood
Once you have decided on the control method
we advise you to draw up a wiring diagram
and then to wire the cooker hood accordingly.
A wiring example is shown in fig. 11. Mount
the cooker hood in the cupboard.
Disposal of packaging and
appliances
The packaging of the appliance is recyclable.
It is made up off:
– cardboard
– polyethylene
– CFC free polystyrene (PS rigid foam)
– polypropylene straps around the box
Please dispose of these materials in a
responsible way in accordance with the
regulations of your local authority.
Your local authority will also be able to give
you information about disposing disused
household appliances in a responsible way.
