Link button
The link button has various functions. The link button
enables you to set both the timer and the memory
function and creates a link between the timer and the
appropriate zone.
Timer
1 Set the timer using the link button.
2 Use the + and – buttons to set the time. The timer
can be set for a maximum of 4 hours. The time will
start to count down once the required cooking time
has been set.
3 You can alter the preset time at any moment using
the + and – buttons on the timer.
4 At the end of the set time you will hear a bleep. You can switch this bleep
off by pressing the link button or the + or – button on the timer. Using the +
or – button to switch the bleep off will enable you to set a new time
immediately.
If you do not switch the bleep off, it will stop automatically after 30 minutes.
Switch off timer
1 Put a pan on a cooking zone.
2 Switch the timer on by pressing the link button
twice.
The indicator lights above the – button for the zones
will start flashing.
3 Set the required time using the + or – button on the timer.
The timer can be set for a maximum of 4 hours.
4 Link the required zone to the countdown timer by
pressing the on/off button for the appropriate zone.
The indicator light above the zone will stay on and
the indicators for the other zones will go off.
5 Select a setting. You can alter the preset time at any moment with the + or -
button on the timer. At the end of the time set you will hear a bleep. You
can switch this bleep off using the link button.
If you do not switch the bleep off, it will stop automatically after 30 minutes.

Setting 11 (wok)
This setting is ideal for frying meat or wok cooking. On setting 11 the wok
indicator near the left-hand zone will light up.
Setting b(boost)
The boost setting is intended to boil water rapidly. This setting is too high for
heating butter or milk.
Pause
The lock-pause button enables you to interrupt the cooking for five minutes, if
your attention is required elsewhere, for example. The lock/pause button does
not work for zones for which a cooking time or cooking programme has been
set, as these zones will already switch off automatically.
Switching on and off
Press the lock/pause button for several seconds. All zones will be
turned down to setting 2 for a period of 5 minutes.
Press the pause button again within 5 minutes to continue cooking at the
previous setting.
If you do not press the pause button again within 5 minutes the relevant zones
will be switched off.
Attention: The lock/pause button is not suitable to switch the hob off
completely.
Childproof lock
The childproof lock enables you to lock the hob when it is switched off. This
prevents it being switched on unintentionally during maintenance or children
switching it on.
Switching on and off
Place your finger on the button for 3 seconds. The childproof lock is
on if the light above button comes on.
The childproof lock cannot be activated while you are cooking. You can still use
the timer when the hob is locked.
