Does my Rice Cooker have a fault?

Cooking/Keep Warm State
The Rice Cooker is
making a noise.
OWhirring noise …
Sound of fan that allows heat to escape operating.
OHigh-pitched noise … Sound of IH (induction heating). You may
sometimes hear this when keeping warm.
OHissing noise … Sound of steam jetting out.
OTapping noise … Sound of electrical circuits operating.
ORoaring noise, bubbling noise … Sound of water in the Water
Vessel boiling.
OPumping noise, swishing noise … Sound of steam being injected.
ORattling noise, clicking noise …
Sound of the Rice Cooker preparing to
apply pressure, or adjusting the pressure.
OShort wooshing noise … Sound of pressure being applied.
OBlowing noise, puffing noise … Sound of pressure escaping.
When opening/closing the Outer Lid

Sound of the metal balls within the Inner Lid rolling around.
OClacking noise … Sound of the ball in the Steam Cap rolling.

After Cooking/After Reheating
“Steam Less” is
displayed.

O Did you fill the Water Vessel with water?
The water decreases during cooking and steam is not injected
depending on the quantity of water.
O Have you fill the Water Vessel with hot water (40°C or more)?
If the temperature of the water is too hot at the start, steam may not be injected.
O After cooking, have you tried to cook again without replacing the
water remaining in the Water Vessel, or added water to it?
Steam may not be injected if the water temperature is too high, so
refill with water each time before cooking. You have filled the Water
Vessel with cold water, wait for 5 minutes or more before cooking.
O Have you tried cooking immediately after cancelling the keep
warm function, or tried cooking again after cooking has finished?
Steam may not be injected if the water temperature is too high, so
refill with water each time before cooking. You have filled the Water

O Have you opened the Outer Lid while cooking?

method of cooking that stirs the rice to ensure even cooking). This
is not a malfunction.
Remove any grains of rice that are stuck to the Inner Lid.

[Displayed] The lithium battery has run down.
With the Power Plug plugged in, you can cook rice or
use the keep warm function, but the current time
must be set on each occasion that you use the timer.
The lithium battery is fixed inside the main body
and cannot be replaced by the user.
[Not displayed] There is a fault in the electronic circuitry.
For a replacement of lithium battery or repair, consult an
authorized service center (as described in the Warranty).

Sparks were visible
at the Power Plug.
O Sometimes small sparks can be seen when inserting or removing
the Power Plug. This is a phenomenon particular to IH (induction
heating) techniques and not indicative of a fault.
