Call block
This feature allows the unit to reject calls when:
– the unit receives a call from a phone number
stored in the call block list as unwanted (“Storing
unwanted callers”, page 44).
– the unit receives a call without phone number
(“Blocking incoming calls without phone
number”, page 45).
When a call is received, the unit rings for a short
time

while the caller is being identified. If the
phone number matches an entry in the call block
list, the unit emits no sound to the caller, and
disconnects the call. (Caller ID subscribers only)
*1 This is called first ring. If you do not want the
first ring to sound, turn this setting to “Off”
(page 45).
Important:
R When the unit receives a call from a number
that is stored in the call block list or a call
without a recognized phone number, the call is
logged in the caller list (page 47) with
after
the call is disconnected.
R You can program this setting using either the
base unit or one of the handsets.
Storing unwanted callers
You can store up to 250 phone numbers in the call
block list.
