❐ Always wear protective goggles, work gloves and a respiratory mask. If you wear further
protective equipment such as for example hearing protection, this also reduces the risk of
injuries / damage.
❐ Make sure you wear suitable clothing such as long trousers, a long-sleeved top and work
boots.
❐ Excessive working may lead to rapid fatigue and possibly to heatstroke. Perform heavy work
in the early morning or later evening hours when the temperature is not as high.
❐ Familiarise yourself with the device before you fi rst use it. Especially make sure you know
how to switch it off.
❐ CAUTION! Avoid accidental start-ups. Do not press down on the spray trigger
when you are connecting the device to a power supply, picking it up or carrying
it.
❐ Only carry the spray gun by holding the handle.
❐ Avoid an abnormal posture. Make sure that you stand in a stable position and maintain
your balance at all times so that you will be better able to control the device in unexpected
situations.
❐ The vibration strengths which are quoted in the "Technical Data" restrict the period of use.
If you experience tingling or a (white) discolouration in your fi ngers, stop using the device.
❐ WARNING: The actual vibration strength may differ from the fi gures which are quoted in
these instructions when using the device. This may have the following causes:
– Is the device being used properly?
– Is the device being held correctly?
– Is the device in a good condition?
❐ If you experience an unpleasant sensation or the colour of the skin on your
hands changes while you are using the device, stop performing the work with the
device immediately! Take appropriate breaks when you work with the device. Failure to
take appropriate breaks may result in hand-arm vibration syndrome.
❐ Adapt the period of time for which you use the device and the frequency and length of
the breaks you take to your physical condition in order to keep vibration shocks as low as
possible.
❐ To considerably reduce the risks posed by vibrations, keep your body and in particular your
hands warm in cold ambient temperatures and move / relax your hands and fi ngers during
breaks. This will promote blood circulation.
❐ It is impossible to prevent the impact of noise from this device. You should therefore take
suitable periods of rest and restrict the time that you work with the device to a minimum.
For protection, you and all people who are in the vicinity of the device while it is operating
should wear hearing protection.
