If you want to receive warnings about exceeding the safe
speed limit, you can specify its value and enable a relevant
warning. The selected value is a percentage of exceeding the
average speed for a given road grade, specified at the
Settings | Route | Car details screen.
3.3.5 Buttons - settings
AutoMapa enables assigning of many of its functions to hardware buttons of the user's device.
To assign/change function assignation, select menu
"Settings" from the main menu, then select "Buttons". Tap on
one of the options listed to open a hardkey selection window.
Select a button from the list to assign it to a chosen function.
The application will try to detect the device's buttons, but
sometimes it is unable to recognize the function buttons. If
you want to assign a function to a button that is not listed,
exit the list. The selected function will be highlighted in blue.
Then press a hardkey to assign it to the chosen function.
Follow the instructions above to assign functions e.g. to
palmphone context buttons.
The same applies to system operation on a PC: select a
keyboard button/button combination to assign it to a selected
function.
Abbreviation NQ before function name means "No question",
e.g. "(NQ) Start/stop track storage" means that you can start
track recording without being asked to enter a file name,
while "(NQ) Add the current position to POI" will create a POI
with the category of the most recently created point (default:
"Other") and a name taken from the POI's description on the map.
Error reporting
"Report error" is an important feature that is available only by assigning it to buttons. This function helps you to send
map errors to the AutoMapa support centre. By default, the function is assigned to the Enter/OK device button. It
generates the following files in the map installation folder (default: "Memory card/AutoMapa EU/Maps/map
name/Errors/YYYY-MM-DD")
• print screen (bitmap in .bmp format)
• GPS track (.gps and .gps.bin files)
• current route (.atm file)
• program settings at "error reporting"
The file names have the following structure:
[subsequent number].[file format]
The function will add a POI (category: "AM errors") on the map, at the place of its use.
Examples of use:
• you notice that the route calculated by AutoMapa is not the best one: run the "Error reporting" option, use the
form available on AutoMapa website to describe the problem and attach the print screen and the route file.
• when driving, you notice that AutoMapa has played an incorrect manoeuvre voice message: run the "Error
reporting" option, use the form available on AutoMapa website to describe the problem and attach the print
screen, GPS track and the route file.
