depending o n the model pur chased (see
K ey Charts, Mode Keys on the righ t).

INSTALLING BA TTERIES
1. On the r emote c ontr ol ’ s bac k, p ush the
tab and lift off the battery cov er .
2. Obtain tw o (2) new AAA alkaline
batteries. Matc h the + and – marks
on the ba tteries to the + and –
marks in the ba tter y case, then insert
the new batt eries.
3. P res s the battery co ver back in to
place. The tab should click wh en the
cover is lo cked.
4. T est the unit b y pr essing POWER
and any mode k ey (e.g.,TV). If the
batt eries are in serted corr ectly , the
LED will blink once.
NO TE: W hen batteries need r eplac ement,
th e r e mo t e c o ntr o l wi ll st o p o pe r a tin g .
Remo ve the old ba tteries and insert new
ones withi n 10 minu tes to ens ure a ll of
your programming information is restored.
PROGRAMMING
DEVICE CONTROL
The One F or All A c cess 3 r emote c ontr ol
is pr epr ogrammed at the factory to
opera te an R CA TV and V CR, a M otor ola
(GI) cable bo x, and a T oshiba D VD pla y-
er . T o co ntr ol devices othe r than the
defa ult brands, per f orm the f ollowing
steps; otherwise skip this sect io n:
NO TE: F or TV/V CR Co mbo co ntrol, see the
next section.
1. T urn o n a device (e.g., V CR) and, if
app licable, insert media, (e.g.,
cassette o r disc).
NO TE: Please r ead st eps 2-4 com pletel y
before proceeding. H ighlight or wr ite down
the co des and de vice you wish to pr og ram
before mov ing on to step 2.
2. On the r emote co ntr ol, p r ess a dev ice
key o nce (i.e., VCR/DVD,TV ,o r
CBL/SA T ). Pr ess and hol d SETUP until
the LED blinks twice, then release
SETUP.
3. U se the Manufa cturer’ s Cod es to
locate th e ty pe o f dev i ce and bran d
name and then en ter the firs t four -
digit code fo r yo ur com ponen t. I f
performed co rrectly , the LED will
blink twice.
NO TE: I f the LED d id not blink twice, th en
re peat ste ps 2 thr ough 3 an d tr y ent ering
the same cod e aga in.
4. Aim the r em ot e c on tr ol at the d evice
and pr ess POWER once. The dev ice
should turn off. I f it does no t respond,
re peat st eps 2-3, try ing eac h code fo r
y our brand un til you find o ne that
wo rks. I f it still does not w ork, try

TV/VCR COMBO CONTROL
P erfo rm the follo wing instructions to
con tro l a TV/V CR Combo:
1. T urn o n the TV/V CR Combo and
insert a video cassette.
NO TE: Ple ase read st eps 2-4 co mpletel y

the codes a nd device you wish to pr og r am
before mov ing on to step 2.
2. On the r emote co ntr ol, p res s VCR.
Pres s an d ho ld SETUP until the LED
blinks twice, th en release SETUP.
3. U se the Setup Codes F o r TV/V CR
Combos (on the back s ide) to locat e
the brand name and then en ter the
first f our -digit code fo r yo ur device.
If performed co rrectly , the LED will
blink twice.
NO TE: I f the LED d id not blink twice, th en
re peat ste ps 2 thr ough 3 an d tr y ent ering
the same cod e aga in.
4. Aim the r em ot e c on tr ol at the d evice
and pr ess POWER on ce. I t should turn
off. I f t h e device do es no t res pond,

If yo ur device does not r espond t o the
remote control af ter tr y ing al l codes
listed f or y our brand, or if yo ur brand is
not list ed at all, try searchin g for y our
code. F or e xample, to searc h for a c ode
fo r yo ur TV :
1. On the r emot e con trol, press TV once.
2. P ress and h old SETUP until the LED
blinks twice, then r elease SETUP.
3. En ter 9 - 9 - 1 . The LED wi ll
blink tw ic e.
4. Aim th e remo te co ntr ol at the th e
TV and slowl y alternat e between
pressi ng POWER and TV . Stop when
the TV turns off.
NO TE: I n the sear ch mode, the remot e
con trol will send IR codes from i ts libra r y
to the select ed device, sta rting w i th the

SETUP until the LED blinks twice,
then r elease SETUP.
6. T o search f or the c odes of your o ther
devices, r epea t step s 1 through 5, but
substit ute the appropriate de vice key
fo r the device y ou ar e sear ching f or .
CHECKING THE CODES

The One F or All A c cess 3 can be set to

assign the unused DVDke y to ope rat e
the seco nd TV as follow s:
1. On the r emot e con trol, p r ess and
hold SETUP until the LED blinks
twice, then r elease SETUP.
2. En ter 9 - 9 - 2. The LED will
blink tw ic e.
3. P ress TV once, the n press DVD once.
4. The DVD k ey is now r eady t o be
pr ogrammed for y our seco nd TV .

V CR, CBL/SA T , and D VD modes. I f yo u

mode other than TV (e.g., CBL/SA T),
