health precautions
Immersive video can potentially have adverse eects on the
user, including motion sickness, perceptual after-eects,
disorientation, decreased postural stability and eye strain. Take
frequent breaks to lessen the potential of these eects, as is
commonly suggested for other items, such as keyboards and
computer monitors, that you may tend to fixate or concentrate
on. If your eyes show signs of fatigue or dryness, or if you note
any of the symptoms above, immediately discontinue use of your
Madison and do not resume using it for at least 30 minutes after
the symptoms have fully subsided.
A small portion of the population may experience epileptic
seizures or impaired consciousness if they are exposed to certain
flashing lights or light eects. These persons may also experience
seizures while watching some kinds of television pictures or
playing certain video games on regular monitors, including the
use of video eyewear. Even persons with no prior medical history
of epilepsy and who have never had an epileptic seizure before
may also be aected by this. If you or a family member has ever
had symptoms that could possibly be associated with epilepsy
(such as seizures or impaired consciousness) when exposed to
flashing lights, please consult your physician before using the
Madison Video Eyewear.
If you experience symptoms such as dizziness, impaired vision,
twitching eyes or muscles, loss of consciousness, disorientation
or any kind of involuntary movements or cramps while using a
computer or video game, switch o the device immediately and
consult a physician before you resume using the video eyewear.
Children under the age of seven, whose binocular vision is still
developing, should not use the product.
If you need to adjust the audio volume, do it slowly to avoid
sudden, unintended loud sounds. If you experience discomfort
or ringing in your ears, stop using the device immediately and
consult a physician. Continued use at high volume may accustom
your ears to the sound level and result in permanent damage to
your hearing without any noticeable discomfort.
