2. GETTING STARTED
2.1. Connecting the device
A. INDOOR IP CAMERA
• Take the mrSafe indoor IP camera out of the box. Attach the Wifi antenna (8).
• Plug the power cable into the power jack (10).
• Plug the network cable (9) into the cable jack and connect the other end of the cable into your router. The
network light will turn on.
• NOTE: If there is no light, please unplug the power and network cable, and check if your router is OK.
Reconnect both cables.
B. OUTDOOR IP CAMERA
• The mrSafe Outdoor IP camera has many connections. When the mrSafe camera can be installed within the
range of your Internet modem, you only need to provide a power supply. We recommend to first configure
the camera close to your computer, and do a test close to the location where it was installed. If the Wifi will
continue stable for one day, the Wifi range seems to be sufficient.

Example of an installation:
• Take the mrSafe outdoor IP camera out of the box. Attach the Wifi antenna (9) and the bracket (10).
• We used a cable box which is available for a few euros at the hardware store.
• The grommets or glands are placed around the cables. You may need to cut the grommet around the camera
cable. If so, it needs to be sealed again later. There are 2 connections open at the bottom of the cable box.
• The cables are introduced into the box and positioned so there isn’t any tension on the connection or the
cable. If you need to cut the box to enter the camera cable, this must be subsequently sealed.
• The power cable of the adapter will be temporarily removed from the terminal box.
• The camera can be fixed to the desired location.

• A hole of about 10 mm will be drilled through the wall. The round plug of the power cable will be taken from
the inside to the outside. The cable box is placed close to the power cable. The round plug will be attached to
the camera cable inside the cable box.
• The hole in the wall, the grommets or cable glands and possible cuts in the cable box should be sealed so that
everything is water resistant.
• If you want, you can fix the cable as well. The adapter will now be plugged into a wall socket and the installation
will work.

2.2. Software installation
Download the software from www.mrsafe.eu and begin the software installation.
Click “Next” to start the installation.
The system will automatically make a new folder (as shown above), where the software will be installed. Click “Next”
to continue.
NOTE: If you want to save the software on another location please click “Browse” and choose the folder where you
want to install the software. Click “Next” to continue.

Select the “Create a desktop icon” button to create a shortcut on your desktop. Click “Next” to continue.
Click “Install” to complete the installation.
The progress of the installation will be shown. This can take a few minutes. When the installation is finished the
software will automatically open on your screen and there will be a shortcut on your desktop (if chosen during
installation).
3. TERMINOLOGY
LAN: Local Area Network: Your home network, which includes your internet modem and all the equipment in the
house that is connected to the network via cable or Wifi.
WAN: Wide Area Network: The internet, if you have an Internet connection at home or anywhere else.
Resolution: The quality and sharpness of the images. The resolution is expressed in pixels horizontal x vertical. The
higher the resolution the better the image quality of the IP camera.
Stream (Bitrate): The number of bits (transmission of information) that can be sent or received per unit of time via a
network connection. A bit is the smallest amount of information. The higher the bitrate, the more information per unit
of time will be send or received.
Framerate: The number of frames per second being imaged.

4. WIFI SETTINGS
Click the “mrSafe” shortcut on your desktop to start the program. A quick start menu will automatically appear. The
quick start menu shows 3 steps that you can browse through with the “Next” button. Click “Close” to end the quick
start.
Make sure that the IP camera is connected to your LAN with the network cable. The IP camera will now automatically
be found in your local LAN area. Right click on the IP camera in the LAN list and choose “Setup Wifi”.

Select “Start Wifi setting” and press “Scan”. The system is now going to search for local Wifi connections. When the
scan is finished please select your local Wifi in the “Network name (SSID)” box. Type your network password and click
“OK”. After confirming, the IP camera will automatically restart. This can take a few minutes. The camera is now
connected to your Wifi. That means that you can unplug the network cable after the Wifi connection is tested and
move the camera to another location within the Wifi range.
After you have set the Wifi (as described below), you should first check if the camera is functioning properly when it
is placed close to the modem. If that is the case, you must place the camera at the desired location and take a few
days to check if on that location the Wifi connection remains stable, and if the Wifi signal is always strong enough. If
this is the case, you can mount the camera permanently. If the connection is not stable, you should look for a location
closer to the modem, connect to a network or install a Wifi repeater between the camera and the Internet modem.
5. LAN CAMERA
All the cameras that are online in your local network (LAN) will be displayed in the LAN list. The color of the camera
icon next to the name of the camera (CAM ID) will change depending on the status of the camera:
• Gray: Camera not available (offline)
• Blue: Camera available (online)
• Red: Camera is activated and viewed
5.1. LAN Camera browsing
Go to the LAN list and double click on the camera you want to see. The program is now going to make contact with
your IP camera. This can take a few seconds.

When the image appears, the camera is ready to operate.
If the image is not completely clear or sharp, you can turn the lens focusing ring till the image appears sharp.
If you want to control the camera and change the viewing angle you have to double click on the image. The image will
reappear with a white edge. Now you can control the camera with the control panel (for further information see
chapter “7.2. Control Panel”).
5.2. LAN Camera settings
You can change the settings of each camera by right clicking on the camera you want to adjust.
5.2.1. Setting options
5.2.1.1. Change the device alias
You can change the camera ID into another name. Type a new name in the box and press “OK”. The camera will now
have another name instead of its ID.

5.2.1.2. Set the IP address
You can change the IP address of your camera individually.
• Choose for DHCP if you want to use the automatic assigned IP address.
• If you want to use the same IP address every time, select “Fixed IP”. Put in the IP address manually by clicking
in the “IP address” box.
Press “OK” to save changes. The device status will show “Login successful” when the camera is logged into the mrSafe
server.
5.2.1.3. Set recording schedule
You can set up an automatic recording schedule for your camera. Just click on the specific day you want to record the
images and press “Add”.

Choose the start time when the camera must start recording and choose the end time when the camera must stop
recording. Press “Add” to save the settings, the previous menu will reappear. Press “Apply” to confirm the video
schedule.
NOTE:
1. Your computer must be turned ON, the PC software must be turned ON and the camera must be active in the
PC software while recording images with the video schedule. The images will be saved ONLY on your computer
and will ONLY be viewable on your computer.
2. Synchronization time zone: to get an automatic synchronization of the time zone, right-click in the white part
of the screen and choose “Refresh”.
5.2.1.4. Restore to factory default settings
To delete all previous settings and passwords of the camera select “Restore to factory default settings”.
A pop-up window will appear to ask if you are sure to restore the default settings. Press “Yes” to delete all settings.
5.2.1.5. Device restart
You can restart the IP camera by pressing on “Device restart”. The camera will now restart. This can take a few minutes.
5.2.1.6. E-mail alerts
The IP camera can detect motion. This function does not work by using an infrared receiver, but by digitally “looking”
at the image through the camera. When there are too much changes in the image, the motion alarm will be activated.

The sensitivity is adjustable. For outdoor cameras, please note that leaves moving in the wind and rain are also
detected as “motion”. In case of an alarm, the camera can send an alert to the PC (if the software is activated), send
an email, or start recording on the SD card (if available).
Tick the check boxes for “Motion Detection” and "Ignore SD card failure". In the "Receiver E-mail" field, you should
enter the email address that needs to receive the alerts. In the "Sender E-mail" field you should enter a hotmail or
gmail address. Enter the corresponding name and password for the fields “SMTP user name” and “SMTP Password”.
Note that “TLS” has to be selected for “Data encryption” and “587” has to be entered for “SMTP port”.
If you click on “Test”, a test e-mail will be sent. If the test e-mail does not arrive, please also check the Junk e-mail!
The motion detection sensitivity is disabled by default. To receive real motion detection alerts, you need to look at the
camera in the PC program, right click the screen and choose "Camera settings". In the field “Alarm Management” set
the "Alarm sensitivity", for example to "Middle" and click "Apply".
5.3. Group Management
In the LAN list, right click the blank space. Following pop-up menu will appear.
You can make different groups of cameras in the LAN list. Click “Create a group”.

Fill in a name for the camera group and press “OK” to save the settings. A folder will appear in the LAN list. To add a
camera to the group, select the camera ID with the left button, hold the left button and drag it into the folder.
To delete a group, right click on the group name. Click on “Remove a group” in the pop-up menu.
6. WAN CAMERA
6.1. WAN Login
Press “Register” in the upper right corner.

The pop-up window above will appear. Enter a username, password an e-mail address. Press “Register” to confirm
your registration.
For use over the Internet (WAN), you will be asked to log in. There are 2 possibilities to login.
1. You can login per camera. Find the login details at the bottom of the IP Camera. You need to enter the user name
(CAM ID) and Password (Login Password). Now you can only see the camera you have logged into.
2. To see a list of all your cameras, you can log in with the username and password you have created yourself. Right
click in the blank space and choose “Add device”. You can add all your cameras by entering each camera ID and
access code (on the bottom of the camera). Now you can view all you cameras by just entering your own
username and password and you don’t have to memorize all the camera ID’s and access codes anymore. If you
forgot your password press “Forgot password?”, enter your information and an e-mail with a new password will
be send to your e-mail address.
To logout press “Logout” in the upper right corner.
All the cameras that are in the wide area network (WAN) will be displayed in the WAN list. The color of the camera

6.2. WAN Camera browsing

6.3. WAN Camera settings

6.3.1 Setting options
6.3.1.1. Add device
You can rename the camera you want to add by entering a new name in the “Device alias” box. Enter the device ID
and access code (at the bottom of the IP Camera) and press “OK”. The new camera will now be shown in the WAN list.
6.3.1.2. Change ACCESS CODE
To change the access code, enter the new code in the “New access code” box and verify the new code by entering
the same code in the box below. Press “OK” to save the setting.
NOTE: The next time the system asks for the access code, you have to enter the new code! To delete the new code,
restore the default settings and the original access code will be applied again.
6.3.1.3. Change the device alias

You can change the camera ID into another name. Type a new name in the box and press “OK”. The camera will now
have another name instead of its ID.
6.3.1.4. SD Card file download (Only for HD IP cameras)
For further information see chapter 10 “Use of the SD Card”.
6.4. Group Management
In the WAN list, right click the blank space. Following pop-up menu will appear.
You can make different groups of cameras in the WAN list. Click “Create a group”.
Enter a name for the camera group and press “OK” to save the settings. A folder will appear in the WAN list. To add a
camera to the group, select the camera ID with the left button, hold the left button and drag it into the folder.
To delete a group, right click on the group name. Click on “Remove a group” in the pop-up menu.

7. MENU INSTRUCTIONS
There are 2 different menus in the system:
1. Main menu
2. Control Panel
7.1. Main menu
You can watch video in full screen mode by pressing the 4 arrows button.
To exit full screen mode click “Exit full screen” in the upper right corner.
The gear wheel is used for making changes in the settings.

• Closing the main window: means that when you press the cross sign in the upper right corner you can choose
between minimizing to the status bar or exit the software.
• Exit software: when you close the software you can choose if the program asks you to confirm the exit of the
software.
• Notifications: You can choose if notifications will be shown or not.
• 3D Option: if you select the 3D, the software will be using the video card of your computer.
• Update: if you click on the “check for updates now” button you will be redirected to the mrSafe website where
you can download the software update.
• Set program language to: here you can choose another program language.
• Default folder: here you can choose the destination folder of the files that you record. To change the
destination folder press “+” to choose another folder.
NOTE: “Loop recording” means that when the capacity for saving files is exceeded, the program will
automatically remove the oldest files to save the newest files.
• Captured files will be saved in this folder: this is the folder where the pictures you have taken will be saved.
To change the destination folder, press “…” and choose another destination folder. If you want to browse
through your captured images press “Open file Directory”.
• Clear record file: remove all recorded video’s from the IP cameras.
• Clear picture file: remove all recorded pictures from the IP cameras.

• Alarm notification time: you can choose the amount of seconds the program will give an alarm
• Alarm audio Notification: you can select a music file from your computer to use as the alarm indication.
• Alarm recording time: You can choose the amount of seconds the program will record an alarm in the PC
software.
• Alarm capture: You can choose the amount of seconds the program will capture pictures when the alarm goes
off.
Press “OK” to save the settings.
With the camera icon you can make changes to the IP camera.
• Add device: you can add an extra IP camera
• Change password: you can change your login password

What to do if you have changed the password of your camera , but you have forgotten the new password?
A. In case you have NOT registered an account on the server (see “Register” menu): If the IP camera is ON and
connected via a network cable, you should press the reset button on one of the cables of the device at least
10 seconds using for example a cocktail stick. The camera makes a clicking sound and will now restart. The
password of the camera and the login server is now equal to the information on the sticker on the bottom
of the camera. The camera should be completely reset.
B. In case the camera has been added to an account (name + password) that you have created on the server
using the “Register” menu: Click in the software menu on “Forgot password”. Enter your name and e-mail
address. The server will then send you an email with a new password.
• Change access code: you can change the access code of the camera (sticker on the bottom). For more
information go to chapter “6.3.1.2 Change access code”.
• Change device alias: you can change the name of you camera. For more information go to chapter “6.3.1.3
Change device alias”.
With the magnifying glass you can search for a local video that has been recorded.
All the recorded files are listed on the left side. If you click on a particular file it will open in the black window. Then
left the screen click once, it will turn smaller with a white edge. Now you can navigate the footage with the menu on
the bottom (play, stop, rewind, forward, etc...).
With the lock icon you can change the login password (only in WAN menu).

Enter the old password and the new password (2 times to verify).
The calculator icon is a logbook where all the logins are listed.
This way you can see who and how much you/someone else has logged in into the system. If you want to remove the
logbook, click “Clear” and all the data will be removed.
The question mark icon is the support file.

If you have a question about the software you can search the help file for the answer.
In the right top corner, there is a menu “Register”.
Using this menu, you can create an account on the server, using your own login and password. (For further information
see chapter “6.1. WAN login”).

7.2.1 Settings
With the settings button you can change the sharpness, brightness, saturation, etc… of your camera footage.
The alarm management is used to set up the sensitivity of the alarm. That means that if you choose for a number
between 0 and 5 the alarm will have a low sensitivity and will only go off when there is an obvious movement in front
of the camera. When you choose a number between 5 and 10 the alarm will have a high sensitivity and will go off
when there is a small movement in front of the camera.
NOTE: we recommend keeping the sensitivity of your alarm low to prevent that the alarm goes off every 10 seconds.

8.2. Device management
To make changes to your device go to the upper left corner and press the button.

9. ALARM SETTINGS
9.1. Alarm management
You can set alarms that will be activated by movements (motion) in front of the camera.
Click on .

Press “OK” to save the settings.

10. USE OF MICRO SD CARD (only for HD IP cameras)
10.1. Placing the micro SD card
Important: The SD card should be a Class 10 SD card with a maximum capacity of 32 GB !
• Power off the IP Camera.
• Open the IP camera by removing the 4 screws.
• Carefully take off the backside.
• Insert the micro SD card.
• Power ON the IP Camera.
10.2. Configuration of the camera for use with micro SD card
Go to the tab “LAN”.
Right-click on the camera icon and select “SD Card Configuration”.
Format the micro SD card and wait a minute until the formatting is done. Select the settings for the micro SD card, for
example similar to the ones indicated in the above image and click “OK” to confirm the settings. Click “Cancel” to finish
the configuration of the micro SD Card. The camera will now record on the SD Card.
Important: When the SD card is full, the oldest files will be deleted and the newer files will be added.
10.3. SD card query
In the tab “WAN” or “LAN”, right click the camera icon and select “SD card file download”.
You can now view a list with all files saved on your SD card.
All files saved on your SD-card will be saved as .hkv files.

• You can choose “Start conversion” to convert the .hkv files to .avi-files. This way, you can use your video recordings
for various purposes, for example YouTube.
• You can also choose “Save as” and just save the files as .hkv files on your PC. You will only be able to view them
on PC’s that have the mrSafe software installed.
10.4. Use of the FTP server
You can only use the FTP function with an SD card in the camera.
In the screen where you adjust the settings of the SD card, you can also give the details of the FTP server, namely:
• IP address of the FTP server
• Login Name
• Password
• The default port is port 21
The FTP server needs to be specified INCLUDING ftp:// and should not point to sub-directories. The user should have
rights to create / append / delete / sub-directories or full access.

2. AAN DE SLAG
2.1. Aansluiten van het apparaat
A. INDOOOR IP CAMERA
• Neem de mrSafe indoor IP camera uit de doos. Bevestig de Wifi-antenne (8).
• Sluit de voedingsadapter (10) aan.
• Sluit de netwerkkabel (9) aan en steek het andere einde in uw router. Het netwerklichtje springt aan.
OPMERKING: Als er geen lichtje gaat branden, trek de voedingsadapter en de netwerk kabel uit. Controleer
of uw router OK is en sluit beide kabels opnieuw aan.
B. OUTDOOOR IP CAMERA
De Outdoor MrSafe camera heeft vele aansluitingen. Als de MrSafe camera binnen het Wifi bereik van uw internet
modem geplaatst kan worden, dan hoeft u alleen maar een stroomvoorziening te verzorgen. We adviseren om
de camera eerst bij uw computer in te stellen, en vervolgens (dicht) bij de plaats van installatie te testen. Als de
Wifi gedurende 1 dag stabiel blijft werken, dan lijkt het Wifi bereik voldoende te zijn.

Hieronder een voorbeeld installatie:
• Neem de mrSafe outdoor IP camera uit de doos. Bevestig de Wifi-antenne (9) en de beugel (10).
• We gebruiken een kabeldoos die voor een paar euro bij de bouwmarkt verkrijgbaar is.
• De tules of wartels worden rond de kabels geplaatst. Mogelijk dient u de tule rond de camerakabel in te
snijden, deze moet dan later wel afgedicht worden. In de kabeldoos worden 2 aansluitingen aan de onderzijde
geopend.
• De kabels worden in de doos ingevoerd, en zo geplaatst dat het past zonder dat er spanning op een verbinding
of kabel staat. Als u de doos moet insnijden om de camerakabel in te voeren, dan dient dit later afgedicht te
worden.
• De voedingskabel van de adapter wordt tijdelijk uit de aansluitdoos verwijderd.
• De camera wordt op de gewenste locatie bevestigd.

• Er wordt een gat van ca. 10 mm door de muur geboord. Van binnenuit wordt de ronde stekker van de
voedingskabel naar buiten gevoerd. De kabeldoos wordt dicht bij deze voedingskabel geplaatst. De ronde
stekker wordt in de kabeldoos aangesloten op de kabel van de camera.
• Het gat in de muur, de tules of wartels en een eventuele insnijding in de kabeldoos dienen met kit waterdicht
afgewerkt te worden.
• Eventueel zet u de kabel nog vast. De adapter wordt nu in het stopcontact gestoken en de installatie werkt.

2.2. Software installatie
Download de software op www.mrsafe.eu en start de software installatie.
Klik “Next” om de installatie te starten.
Het systeem zal automatisch een nieuwe map aanmaken (zoals hierboven weergegeven), waar de software zal worden
opgeslagen. Klik “Next” om door te gaan.
OPMERKING: Als u de software op een andere locatie wil opslaan, klik “Browse” en kies de map waarin u de software
wil opslaan. Klik “Next” om door te gaan.

Kies de “Create a desktop icon” knop om een snelkoppeling op uw bureaublad te plaatsen. Klik “Next” om door te
gaan met de installatie.
Klik “Install” om de installatie te voltooien.
De voortgang van de installatie zal getoond worden. Dit kan enkele minuten duren. Wanneer de installatie voltooid is,
zal de software zich automatisch opstarten en zal er een snelkoppeling naar het programma op uw bureaublad staan
(indien u dit gekozen hebt tijdens de installatie).

Om de taalinstelling aan te passen, klikt u links bovenaan in het scherm op het tandwiel-icoon.
Het volgende scherm verschijnt. Onderaan kunt u “Dutch” selecteren. Klik vervolgens op OK.
De software dient nu opnieuw opgestart te worden. Pas dan zal de taal van de software aangepast zijn naar
Nederlands.
3. TERMINOLOGIE
LAN: Local Area Network: Uw thuis-netwerk, dat uw internet modem en alle apparatuur omvat in het huis dat is
aangesloten op het netwerk via kabel of Wifi.
WAN: Wide Area Network: Het internet, een internetverbinding thuis of ergens anders.
Resolutie: De kwaliteit en scherpte van de beelden. De resolutie wordt uitgedrukt in pixels horizontaal x verticaal. Hoe
hoger de resolutie hoe beter de beeldkwaliteit van de IP-camera.
Bitrate: Het aantal bits (overdracht van informatie) die via een netwerkverbinding kan worden verzonden of
ontvangen per tijdseenheid. Een bit is de kleinste hoeveelheid informatie. Hoe hoger de bitrate, hoe meer informatie
per tijdseenheid te verzenden of ontvangen.
Framerate: Het aantal frames die per seconde in beeld worden gebracht.
4. WIFI INSTELLINGEN
Klik de “mrSafe” snelkoppeling op uw bureaublad om het programma op te starten. Een snelle start verschijnt
automatisch. De snelle start bestaat uit 3 stappen, waar je doorheen kunt bladeren met de knop “Volgende”. Klik op
“Afsluiten” om de snelle start te beëindigen.

Zorg ervoor dat de IP camera is aangesloten aan uw LAN met de netwerk kabel. De IP camera zal nu automatisch te
vinden zijn in uw lokale LAN omgeving. Klik met de rechtermuisknop op de IP-camera in de LAN lijst en kies “Wifi
verbinding instellen”.
Selecteer “Wifi instellen” en vervolgens “Scan”. Het systeem gaat nu zoeken naar lokale Wifi-verbindingen. Wanneer
de scan voltooid is selecteert u uw lokale Wifi in het “Netwerknaam (SSID)” kader. Typ uw wachtwoord voor het

netwerk in en klik op “OK”. Na bevestiging zal de IP camera zichzelf automatisch opnieuw opstarten. Dit kan enkele
minuten duren. De camera is nu verbonden met Wifi.
Nadat u de Wifi heeft ingesteld, dient u allereerst te controleren of de camera goed functioneert als deze dicht bij het
modem geplaatst wordt. Als dat het geval is, dan dient u de camera los te plaatsen op de gewenste plaats en enige
dagen te controleren of op die locatie de Wifi verbinding stabiel blijft, of het Wifi signaal altijd sterk genoeg is.
Als dat het geval is kunt u de camera definitief bevestigen. Is de verbinding niet stabiel, dan dient u een locatie dichter
bij het modem te zoeken, de verbinding met een netwerkkabel te maken of een Wifi repeater tussen de camera en
het internet modem te plaatsen.
5. LAN CAMERA
Alle camera’s die online zijn in uw lokaal netwerk (LAN) zullen nu zichtbaar zijn in de LAN lijst. De kleur van het camera
icoontje naast de naam van de camera (CAM ID) zal veranderen afhankelijk van de status van de camera:
• Grijs: Camera is niet beschikbaar (offline)
• Blauw: Camera is beschikbaar (online)
• Rood: Camera is geactiveerd en bekeken.
5.1. LAN Camera browsing
Ga naar de LAN lijst en dubbel klik op de camera die u wil bekijken. Het programma gaat nu contact maken met uw IP
camera. Dit kan enkele seconden duren.
Wanneer het beeld verschijnt is de camera klaar voor gebruik.
Als het beeld niet helemaal scherp is, kunt u aan de lens draaien om het beeld scherp te stellen.

Als u de camera wil bedienen en de kijk-hoek wil veranderen, dubbelklik op het beeld. Het beeld zal opnieuw
verschijnen met een witte rand rondom. Dit betekend dat u nu de camera kan bedienen met het bedieningspaneel
(voor meer informatie over het bedieningspaneel ga naar “7.2. Bedieningspaneel”).
5.2. LAN Camera instellingen
U kan de instellingen van elke camera veranderen door op uw rechtermuisknop te klikken op de camera waar u de
instellingen van wil veranderen.
5.2.1. Opties voor instellingen
5.2.1.1. Cameranaam wijzigen
U kan de camera ID veranderen in een eigen gekozen naam. Typ een nieuwe naam in de kader en druk op “OK”. De
camera zal vanaf nu een andere naam hebben in plaats van zijn ID-nummer.

5.2.1.2. IP adres instellen
U kunt het IP-adres van uw camera individueel veranderen.
• Kies voor DHCP als u het automatische toegewezen IP-adres wenst te gebruiken.
• Als u hetzelfde IP-adres elke keer opnieuw wil gebruiken, selecteert u “Vaste IP”. Vul het IP-adres handmatig in
door te klikken in het vak “IP-adres”.
Klik op “OK” om de wijzigingen op te slaan. De status van het apparaat toont "Login succesvol" wanneer de camera
wordt aangemeld in de mrSafe server.
5.2.1.3. Lokaal opnameschema instellen
Met het “Lokaal opnameschema” kan u een automatisch opnameschema opstellen voor uw camera. Selecteer de
dag/dagen wanneer u beelden wil opnemen en druk op “Toevoegen”.

Kies de starttijd wanneer de camera moet beginnen opnemen en kies de eindtijd wanneer de camera moet stoppen
met opnemen. Druk op “Toevoegen” om de instellingen op te slaan. Druk op “Toepassen” om de instellingen van het
opnameschema te bevestigen.
OPMERKINGEN:
1. Uw computer, PC software, de camera in de PC software MOETEN GEACTIVEERD zijn tijdens de opnames met
het opnameschema. De opgenomen beelden zullen ENKEL op uw computer opgeslagen worden en zijn ENKEL
te bekijken op uw computer.
2. Synchronisatie tijdzone: Om een automatische synchronisatie van de tijdzone te verkrijgen, klikt u met de
rechtermuisknop in het witte gedeelte van het scherm en kiest u voor “Verversen”.
5.2.1.4. Fabrieksinstellingen herstellen
Om alle voorgaande instellingen en paswoorden te verwijderen kies “Fabrieksinstellingen herstellen”. Een pop-up
scherm zal verschijnen om te vragen of u zeker bent van dit herstel. Druk “Ja” om alle instellingen te verwijderen.
5.2.1.5. De camera opnieuw starten
U kan de IP camera herstarten door te klikken op “De camera opnieuw starten”. De camera zal nu herstart worden.
Dit kan enkele minuten duren.
5.2.1.6. E-mail alarm instellen
De IP camera kan beweging detecteren. Dit werkt niet met een infrarood ontvanger, maar door het digitaal “bekijken”
van het beeld door de camera. Als er teveel veranderd in het beeld zal het bewegingsalarm geactiveerd worden. De
gevoeligheid is instelbaar. Hou er voor buitencamera’s rekening mee dat het bewegen van bladeren door de wind en
neerslag ook als beweging gedetecteerd kan worden. Ingeval van alarm kan de camera een waarschuwing naar de PC
sturen als de software aanstaat en/of een e-mail sturen.

Vink de aankruisvakjes voor “Bewegingsdetectie” en “Afwijkende micro SD-kaartlezer” aan. Bij “E-mail ontvanger”
geeft u het e-mail adres op waarop de alarmmelding ontvangen moet worden. Bij “E-mail afzender” geeft u een
hotmail of gmail adres op. De bijbehorende naam en wachtwoord vult u in bij SMTP user name en SMT password. Let
op dat TLS wordt gekozen bij “Versleuteling” en “SMTP poort” 587 wordt ingevuld.
Als u op “Test” klikt, wordt een test e-mail verzonden. Indien deze niet aankomt, controleer dan ook de map
Ongewenste e-mail!
De gevoeligheid van de bewegingsdetectie staat standaard uit. Om echte bewegingsdetectie meldingen te ontvangen
dient u in het PC programma de camera te bekijken, rechts in het scherm te klikken, en te kiezen voor “Camera
instellingen”. Bij Alarmbeheer stelt u “Gevoeligheid alarm” in, en klikt u op “Toepassen”.
5.3. Groepsbeheer
Rechtermuisklik de lege ruimte in de LAN lijst. Volgende pop-up scherm zal verschijnen.
U kan verschillende groepen van camera’s maken in de LAN lijst. Klik “Een groep toevoegen”.

Vul een naam in voor de groep die u wenst te maken en druk op “OK” om de instellingen op te slaan. Een nieuwe map
zal verschijnen in de LAN lijst. Om een camera toe te voegen aan de groep, selecteer de camera ID met de
linkermuisknop, houd de linkermuisknop ingedrukt en sleep de camera in de groep.
Om een groep te verwijderen, rechtermuisklik op de groepsnaam. Klik op “Een groep verwijderen” in het pop-up
menu.
6. WAN CAMERA
6.1. WAN Login
Klik op “Meld aan” in de rechterbovenhoek.

Vul een gebruikersnaam, wachtwoord en e-mailadres in. Klik op “Aanmelden” om uw registratie te bevestigen.
Voor gebruik via het internet (WAN), wordt u gevraagd om in te loggen. Er zijn 2 mogelijkheden om in te loggen.
• U kunt inloggen per camera. Vind de inloggegevens aan de onderkant van de IP-camera. U moet de
gebruikersnaam (CAM-ID) en Password (Wachtwoord) invoeren. Nu kunt u alleen de camera zien waar u zich
voor hebt ingelogd.
• Om een lijst van al uw camera 's te zien, kunt u inloggen met de gebruikersnaam en het wachtwoord die u
zelf heeft aangemaakt. Klik met de rechtermuisknop in de lege ruimte en kies “Camera toevoegen”. U kunt
al uw camera's toevoegen door elke camera-ID en access code (op de onderkant van de camera) in te geven.
Nu kunt u alle camera’s bekijken door het invullen van uw eigen gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord en hoeft u
niet alle camera-ID’s en toegangscodes te onthouden. Als u uw wachtwoord vergeten bent, klikt u op
“Wachtwoord vergeten?”. Vul uw gegevens in en een e-mail met een nieuw wachtwoord wordt naar uw e-
mail adres gestuurd.
Om uit te loggen, klik “Logout” in de rechterbovenhoek.
Alle camera’s die online zijn in het uitgestrekt netwerk (WAN) zullen nu zichtbaar zijn in de WAN lijst. De kleur van het
camera icoontje naast de naam van de camera (CAM ID) zal veranderen afhankelijk van de status van de camera:
• Grijs: Camera is niet beschikbaar (offline)
• Blauw: Camera is beschikbaar (online)
• Rood: Camera is geactiveerd en bekeken.

6.2. WAN Camera browsing
Wanneer u ingelogd bent, dubbelklik op de camera. Het programma gaat nu contact maken met uw IP camera. Dit kan
enkele seconden duren.
Wanneer het beeld verschijnt is de camera gereed voor gebruik.
Als u de camera wil bedienen en de kijk-hoek wil veranderen, dubbelklik op het beeld. Het beeld zal opnieuw
verschijnen met een witte rand rondom. Dit betekend dat u nu de camera kan bedienen met het bedieningspaneel
(voor meer informatie over het bedieningspaneel ga naar “7.2. Bedieningspaneel”).

6.3. WAN Camera instellingen
U kan de instellingen van elke individuele camera aanpassen door op uw rechtermuisknop te klikken op de camera die
u wenst aan te passen.
6.3.1. Opties voor instellingen
6.3.1.1. Camera toevoegen
Bij het toevoegen van een nieuw apparaat kan u de naam van het apparaat zelf kiezen door deze in te vullen in de
“Camera toevoegen” kader. Vul daaronder het ID-nummer van de camera in en de access code (te vinden onderaan
de camera) en druk op “OK” om te bevestigen. De nieuwe camera zal nu opgenomen zijn in de WAN lijst.

6.3.1.2. Weergavewachtwoord wijzigen
Om te toegangscode te veranderen vult u de nieuwe code in en moet u de nieuwe code verifiëren door deze nogmaals
in te vullen in de kader onderaan. Druk op “OK” om de instellingen op te slaan.
OPMERKING: De volgende keer wanneer het systeem vraagt om de access code, moet u de nieuwe code invullen! Om
de nieuwe code te verwijderen moet u de standaardinstellingen herstellen (“Fabrieksinstellingen herstellen”). De
originele access code zal opnieuw van toepassing zijn.
6.3.1.3. Cameranaam wijzigen
Uw kan de camera ID veranderen in een eigen gekozen naam. Typ een nieuwe naam in de kader en druk op “OK”. De
camera zal vanaf nu een andere naam hebben in plaats van zijn ID-nummer.
6.3.1.4. SD-kaart zoeken (enkel voor HD IP camera’s)
Voor meer informatie ga naar hoofdstuk “10. Gebruik van micro SD-kaart”.
6.4. Groepsbeheer
Rechtermuisklik de lege ruimte in de WAN lijst. Het volgende pop-up scherm zal verschijnen.
U kan verschillende groepen van camera’s maken in de WAN lijst. Klik “Een groep toevoegen”.

Vul een naam in voor de groep die u wenst te maken en druk op “OK” om de instellingen op te slaan. Een nieuwe map
zal verschijnen in de LAN lijst. Om een camera toe te voegen aan de groep, selecteer de camera ID met de
linkermuisknop, hou de linkermuisknop ingedrukt en sleep de camera in de groep.
Om een groep te verwijderen, rechtermuisklik op de groepsnaam. Klik op “Een groep verwijderen” in de pop-up menu.
7. MENU INSTRUCTIES
Er zijn 2 verschillende menu’s in het systeem:

7.1. Hoofdmenu
U kan de beelden in volledig scherm bekijken door te klikken op de 4-pijlentoets.
Om uit het volledige scherm te gaan klikt u op “Volledig scherm afsluiten” in de rechterbovenhoek.
Het tandwiel wordt gebruikt om aanpassingen aan de instellingen te maken.
• Sluiten van het hoofdvenster: betekent dat wanneer u op het kruisje in de rechterbovenhoek van het scherm
klikt, u kunt kiezen tussen het minimaliseren van de statusbalk of de software afsluiten.
• Software afsluiten: wanneer u de software sluit kunt u kiezen of het programma aan u vraagt om het afsluiten
van de software te bevestigen.
• Meldingen: U kunt kiezen of meldingen wel of niet worden getoond.
• 3D optie: als u de 3D-selecteert, zal de software de grafische kaart van uw computer gebruiken.
• Systeem Update: als u klikt op “Online update” wordt u doorgestuurd naar de mrSafe website waar u de
software-update kunt downloaden.
• Taal wijzigen: hier kunt u een ander taal kiezen.

• Standaard map: hier kunt u de map van de bestanden die u opneemt kiezen. Om de bestandsmap te veranderen
druk op “+” om een andere map te kiezen.
• Opname in lus (loop): betekent dat wanneer de capaciteit voor het opslaan van bestanden wordt overschreden,
het programma automatisch de oudste bestanden zal verwijderen om de nieuwste bestanden op te slaan.
• PC de foto’s worden opgeslagen in: dit is de map waarin de foto's die u via de computer hebt genomen zullen
worden opgeslagen. Als u de bestandsmap wilt wijzigen, klik op “...” en kies een andere map. Als u door uw
gemaakte foto’s wil bladeren klik op “Map openen”.
• Video’s verwijderen: verwijder alle opgenomen video's van de IP-camera's.
• Foto’s verwijderen: verwijder alle foto’s van de IP-camera's.

Met het camera-icoon kan u de instellingen van uw IP camera veranderen.
• Camera toevoegen: u kan een extra IP camera toevoegen.
• Wachtwoord wijzigen: u kan het passwoord van uw login veranderen.
Wat te doen als u het wachtwoord van uw camera heeft veranderd, maar u het nieuwe wachtwoord vergeten
bent?
o In het geval u nog geen account geregistreerd hebt op de server (zie menu “Aanmelden”): Als de IP-
camera is ingeschakeld en aangesloten via een netwerkkabel, moet u op de reset-knop aan een van
de kabels van het toestel drukken, minimaal 10 seconden met behulp van bijvoorbeeld een
cocktailprikker. De camera maakt een klikkend geluid en wordt nu opnieuw opgestart. Het
wachtwoord van de camera en de login server is nu gelijk aan de informatie op de sticker op de
onderkant van de camera. De camera is nu volledig gereset.
o In het geval dat de camera is toegevoegd aan een account (naam + wachtwoord) die u hebt gemaakt
op de server met behulp van het menu “Aanmelden”: Klik in de software menu op “Wachtwoord
vergeten?”. Voer uw naam en e-mailadres in. De server zal dan een e-mail sturen met een nieuw
wachtwoord.
• Access wachtwoord wijzigen: u kan de toegangscode (op sticker aan de onderkant van IP camera) veranderen.
Voor meer informatie ga naar hoofdstuk “6.3.1.2. Weergavewachtwoord wijzigen”.
• Cameranaam wijzigen: u kan de naam van uw IP camera veranderen. Voor meer informatie ga naar hoofdstuk
“6.3.1.3. Cameranaam wijzigen”.

Met het vergrootglas kan u zoeken naar de videobeelden die u heeft opgenomen.
Alle opgenomen bestanden worden weergegeven aan de linkerkant. Als u klikt op een bepaald bestand dan opent zich
dat in het zwarte venster. Klik één keer op het scherm. Het zal nu kleiner worden met een witte rand rond. Nu kunt u
door de beelden navigeren via het menu aan de onderkant (afspelen, stoppen, terugspoelen, vooruit, enz. ..).
Met het slotje kan u het login password veranderen (enkel in WAN menu).
Vul het oude password in en daarna het nieuwe (2 keer om te verifiëren).

Het rekenmachine is een logboek waar alle logins zijn opgeslagen.
Op deze manier kunt u zien wie en hoeveel u/iemand anders heeft ingelogd in het systeem. Als u het logboek wilt
verwijderen, klikt u op “Verwijderen” en alle gegevens worden verwijderd.
Het vraagteken is het Help-bestand.

7.2.1. Instellingen
Met de knop “Instellingen” kunt u de scherpte, helderheid, verzadiging, enz ... van uw camerabeelden veranderen.
Het alarmbeheer wordt gebruikt voor het instellen van de gevoeligheid van het alarm. Dat betekent dat als u kiest
voor een getal tussen 0 en 5 het alarm een lage gevoeligheid zal hebben en zal alleen afgaan als er zich een
overduidelijke beweging voor de camera bevindt. Wanneer u kiest voor een getal tussen 5 en 10 zal het alarm een
hoge gevoeligheid hebben en zal het alarm al afgaan wanneer er zich een hele kleine beweging voor de camera
bevindt.
OPMERKING: wij raden u aan, de gevoeligheid van het alarm laag te houden om te voorkomen dat het alarm om de
10 seconden afgaat.

8. CAMERA MANAGEMENT
8.1. Camera-instellingen
Om de instellingen te veranderen ga naar de linkerbovenhoek en druk op de knop.
• Sluiten van het hoofdvenster: betekent dat wanneer u op het kruisje in de rechterbovenhoek van het scherm
klikt, u kunt kiezen tussen het minimaliseren van de statusbalk of de software afsluiten.
• Software afsluiten: wanneer u de software sluit kunt u kiezen of het programma aan u vraagt om het afsluiten
van de software te bevestigen.
• Meldingen: U kunt kiezen of meldingen wel of niet worden getoond.
• 3D optie: als u de 3D-selecteert, zal de software de grafische kaart van uw computer gebruiken.
• Update: als u klikt op “Online update” wordt u doorgestuurd naar de mrSafe website waar u de software-update
kunt downloaden.
• Taal wijzigen: hier kunt u een ander taal kiezen.
• Standaard map: hier kunt u de map van de bestanden die u opneemt kiezen. Om de bestandsmap te veranderen
druk op “+” om een andere map te kiezen.
• Opname in lus (loop): betekent dat wanneer de capaciteit voor het opslaan van bestanden wordt overschreden,

9. ALARMINSTELLINGEN
9.1. Alarmbeheer
U kunt alarmen instellen die door bewegingen in beeld worden geactiveerd.

Het alarmbeheer wordt gebruikt voor het instellen van de gevoeligheid van het alarm. Dat betekent dat als u kiest

10. GEBRUIK VAN MICRO SD-KAART (Enkel voor HD IP camera’s)
10.1. Plaatsen van de micro SD-kaart
Belangrijk: De SD-kaart moet een Class 10 SD-kaart zijn met een maximale capaciteit van 32 GB!
• Schakel de IP Camera uit.
• Open de IP camera door de 4 schroeven te verwijderen.
• Haal voorzichtig de achterzijde weg.
• Plaats de micro SD-kaart.
• Schakel de IP Camera aan.

10.2. Configuratie van de camera voor gebruik met micro SD-kaart
Ga naar de tab “LAN”.
Rechtermuisklik op het camera-icoon en selecteer “Configuratie SD kaart”.
Formatteer de micro SD-kaart en wacht een minuut tot het formateren is gedaan.
Selecteer de instellingen voor de micro SD-kaart, bijvoorbeeld vergelijkbaar met die in de bovenstaande afbeelding en
klik op “Toepassen” om de instellingen te bevestigen. Klik op “Afsluiten” om de configuratie van de micro SD-kaart te
vervolledigen. De camera zal nu opnemen op de SD-kaart.
Belangrijk: Als de SD-kaart vol is, wordt de oudste bestanden verwijderd en de nieuwere bestanden worden
toegevoegd.
10.3. SD-kaart overzicht
In de tab “WAN”, rechtermuisklik op het camera icoon en selecteer “SD kaart zoeken”.

In de tab “LAN”, rechtermuisklik op het camera icoon en selecteer “SD kaart downloaden”.
U ziet nu een lijst met alle bestanden die opgeslagen staan op uw SD-kaart.
Alle bestanden die worden opgeslagen op uw SD-kaart zullen opgeslagen worden als .hkv bestanden.
• U kunt kiezen voor "Start Conversion" om de HKV bestanden te converteren naar avi-bestanden. Op deze manier
kunt u uw video-opnames gebruiken voor verschillende doeleinden, bijvoorbeeld YouTube.
• U kunt ook kiezen voor "Opslaan als" en sla de bestanden als HKV bestanden op uw pc.. U zal deze alleen kunnen
bekijken op een pc waarop de mrSafe software is geïnstalleerd.
